Mission: Season 3: Episode 4: Cause and Effect
634 words - 1.3 OF Standard Post Measure

After the meeting with his new extremely unwanted Officer Casper made his way to the Captains Office. He kept reminding himself to breath over, over, and over. This wasn't the first time he has had to go to his Commanding Officers office to 'voice his displeasure' in getting an Offic3 that should have been drummed out not kept in the system to create more of a havoc.

Getting to her door he pressed the chime button and patiently waited for his request to be approved.

"Come!" The Captain called out and the door opened. "Ah Lieutenant, what can i help you with?"

Casper walked up to the Captains desk, "Ma'am... One word... Moxton."

Phoenix paused and frowned but then it clicked "Oh Mr I am better than everyone else..." she studied him. "Didn't you get his transfer orders?" She asked innocently.

"They must have got loss in transit or haven't arrived yet; but he did," Casper paused, "That Officer shouldn't not be on this ship or even in Starfleet. The CDID better not be a dumping ground for Officers or members of other departments."

"Its not, i assure you. And believe me I agree with you. I just need him to hang himself a bit more." Phoenix soothed. "I take it he was very obnoxious?"

"To say the least," he let out a huge breath, "But Ma'am I don't have the time or the resources to Police him and we integrating him where he will work with too many departments. Why did you even send him to me in the first place?"

"Because I figured you would be the least likely to kill him, or at least get away without any trace of guilt if you did." Phoenix replied. "I wanted to carve him up and I knew i sent him to the marines, Azhul would airlock him before he got the salute out of the way. Write him up, and lets brig him. That will keep him out of your hair."

"I will keep him away from anything Intelligence related and will limit his access to Security and Marine training but would appreciate to be brought into the fold before the fact and not just have some wet blanket dropped on my door step," he huffed a bit. In reality he needed all the warm bodies he could get.

"lieutenant, I trust you can whip him into shape before I have to gut him with my personal weapons collection. He seems to have an issue with Women in power, and a grudge against Commander Holmes. I am half tempted to put him through what Holmes went through on the Romulan Prison planet to be honest." She paused "It won't happen again, I promise."

"Very well. I will try my best with him Ma'am," Casper replied feeling assured that she wouldn't do it again. He wasn't sure that he was going to last and would probably spend until they pass another vessel going towards a Starbase in the brig as she had mentioned.

Phoenix smiled brightly at Casper. "I am sure you will. Maybe he will surprise us and blow himself up."

"Your enthusiasm in his demise Ma'am is uncanny," he couldn't help but chuckle himself, "If he does end up dead half the senior staff would be suspected of Murder."

"And none of us will ever be found guilty." She smiled. "Good Luck Lieutenant."

He nodded and left her office, before getting into the turbo lift to head back to his office he stopped and half turned back to the Captains office. She was right. Between the Captain, Holmes, and himself none of the senior staff or anyone would be found guilty. That shook him a little as he turned and continued back to his office to see exactly where to put Moxton.
