Mission: MISSION 0 - History Speaks
Location: CIO's Office
Timeline: MD1
550 words - 1.1 OF Standard Post Measure

Tavrus had only just completed his meeting with the ship's XO and knew the second most difficult thing he had to do that day was to then report to Lieutenant Thornhill, the Elysium's Chief Intelligence Officer, and the man who would be directly overseeing his education as an Intelligence Cadet. He made his way to the man's office, in the main intelligence area of the ship, and pressed the small button to alert the occupant that there was someone waiting outside.

Casper looked up from his computer terminal as he called for the person to enter, the doors parted and he watched the cadet uniform man walk in, "Ah Cadet Saral I have been expecting you. Have a seat."

Tavrus took a further step in and quietly took the seat offered to him, sitting quietly as he waited for the man to continue.

"Do you have your Cruise assignment on you?" Casper asked sitting back. He remembered back to his first Cruise assignment. It was a short one but nevertheless very informative.

Tavrus held out the PADD he'd gotten back from the ship's XO. it contained everything any of his superiors would need, and he'd been cautioned to make sure he held onto it until he'd finished every meeting. "Yes, sir. Here you go," he said, handing it over.

"Thank-you Cadet," accepting the PaDD he looked it over quickly. The Cadet was assigned to the Intelligence Department, not the CDID which made sense, Casper hummed a bit as he thought about it. It would do the Cadet good to be exposed to the CDID though, "I am gonna assign you to Lieutenant Sh'iss. She's gonna be hard on you it's just her style. Your gonna see some interesting stuff. While being assigned to Intelligence on the Elysium we are actually called the Combine Defense and Intelligence Department. Our mandate is to supplement the Marines and Security departments, I myself was a Marine before stepping into this role. I see you're a liberated Borg so you know your way around computers yes?"

"Both hardware and software, sir. I even have a working knowledge of the basic computer language used by Starfleet from the few times a Federation vessel fell into the hands of the Collective," Tavrus replied, not even considering how absolutely inappropriate it was to even bring that up.

"Lets put you in a rotation of Infiltration Specialist, it's where Sh'iss is working anyhow. She is gonna be hard on you Cadet but that is just her style and I am sure that you are up for the task. Have you already reported to Medical if not do that next then report to Sh'iss. Questions?" he looked across at the Tavrus and smiled.

"No, sir, I think I'm good for now. I will definitely schedule a medical appointment," Tavrus replied.

"Excellent... Is there anything else you require Cadet?" Casper asked.

"No, sir, I think that's everything for now. I will get on my next appointments, and see what the future holds," Tavrus replied with a slight smile, standing as he anticipated being dismissed.

"Awesome! Your free to leave," Casper replied then returned to his work.

"Thank you, sir," Tavrus replied, turning and leaving the room, making notes on his PADD about the things Lieutenant Thornhill had requested he get done.
