Operations to Marines... interesting time

Part of her duties, Sapphire had to make sure all departments had what they needed. And today's group was the Marines. She had a list and she needed to make sure nothing was missing off that list, so carrying her PADD she moved from the turbolift down to the MARDETCOM's office and hit the chime.

With several PaDDs stacked on her desk, Naxea was somewhat relieved by the interruption. "Enter," she called as she stood, setting the PaDD in her hand aside.

Sapphire stepped in. "Major Azhul" she said calmly. "Lieutenant Morgan from Operations. I am doing the quartermaster's report. And am here to see if your department is in need of any equipment or the like."

"Have a seat, lieutenant," Naxea gestured at the seat across from her desk before sitting and grabbing a nearby PaDD. "Hmmm...arsenal wise, we're fine but we could use some more Mark Four Orbital Insertion Kits to start."

"Of course. If I order an extra 20 of those would that suffice?" Sapphire asked as she made a notation.

"That should suffice," Naxea said as she continued to look at her PaDD. "So, this must be keeping you busy," she asked, making conversation.

"It is." The Ops officer replied. "How are your stocks of uniforms and boots?"

Naxea admired the woman's dedication to her duty--obviously not much for talk. "We still have a good supply left over," she replied. "However, my detachment does need a dedicated Runabout--the current ones aren't really able to handle the rigors required by the Corps."

Sapphire considered that. Then she began to tap on the PADD. "Do you have any specifications that are absolute requirements for it?" she asked.

"The current Volga Class Runabout is good but it's armor needs to be increased for better survivability going into a hot LZ," Naxea continued.

Sapphire made the notes. "Engineering will be able to assist with that I am sure."

"That's good," Naxea said after a moment as she studied her inventory. "That should be about it. We restocked most of our needs at Earth."

"I will submit the requests immediately. We should be able to have the Insertion kits done on board. The Shuttle will need to be sent from the fleet yards."

Naxea grinned. "Thank you. That should be all then."

Sapphire stood, inclined her head. "If you or your team think of anything, please let Operations know Major, we are more than willing to assist. Thank you for your time."

"Naxea nodded. "Will do, Lieutenant."

"Have a nice Day Major" Sapphire said and left the office.
