She had barely made it. Had just survived the hounds but before she could move she had been caught by Hunters. Stunned and dragged from the Arena, Isabella barely remembered much of the trip from the Arena to a large room. She was thrown down on the cold metal deck before a large man.

She lay dazed on the floor, her clothing obviously out of date. Black jeans and a dark blue tee-shirt and sneakers. She was not of the timeline they were currently in. Her hair had come loose from its plat and hung around her face.

A voice said "This one, won't take much. Lieutenant Morgan says you can have her if she proves good enough to be a slave. No will to speak of, basically a scared rabbit."

"A rabbit you say? Excellent I can make rabbit stew with her. I need to remember to thank Lt. Morgan for her thoughtfulness. Lets get the rabbit into position and we can start. I've never had a rabbit to break, I wonder how long it will take? Well only one way to find out. Is to get started."

Minutes later the woman is in the proper position inside the booth. "Now rabbit, do you have a name? Or do you prefer rabbit?" The question is asked with genuine interest. "Or if there is another name you prefer please let me know. I'm here to accommodate you."

She doubted that. Isabella shook her head to clear it. "Isabella." she got out. "Please.. i am a civilian,.. I don't know any command codes or anything.. please, please do not hurt me!"

"Isabella, such a pretty name. My name is Fernando but by the time I'm done with you, you'll think I'm God and as far as pain, I'm sorry Isabella but pain is very much in your future."

Isabella began to beg "Please.. please.. don't.. I know nothing, .. I am just a school teacher... please!" tears were starting but she struggled to blink them back.

"Ssh, ssh, Isabella. No crying at least not yet. You'll be surprised at what you know once we get started. What do you teach by the way?"

"High school age group.. what people now call the Upper levels." She got out.

"Ah, good age group inquisitive minds. Now Isabella as teacher you know how important it is to follow the rules. So you have only one rule to follow and that is sit and take what is coming." With that he pressed the button and Isabella is racked with a high energy electrical charge.

She screamed, and her whole body shook. Isabella could not figure out why this was happening, all she knew was she was in massive pain. Tears flowed and she begged in a hoarse voice "Please let me go!"

"No Isabella. Not yet but perhaps someday." As the button was pressed again. "Oh? Isabella since you're a rabbit your first name is now Jessica." As the button was pushed a third time.

"no!" She screamed and thrashed. "Please.." she was a whimpering mess already.

"What is your name rabbit?"

"Isabella!" She yelled, refusing to give up her name.

"Ah. so the rabbit has a backbone. Excellent makes this more of a challenge. Rabbit listen to me, what is your favorite food?"

That question threw her and she stared at him in puzzlement. She did not answer the question.

Fernando hit the buzzer again. "Rabbit, you have to be quicker than that. The answer is carrots. Remember that it will come up again later. Now again what is your name?"

"Isabella!" She screamed as the current wracked her form.

"Sorry, no wrong. Here, lets try something else. As a rabbit. What is your favorite holiday?"

She cussed at him now. "LET ME GO!" She screamed. Her whole form was trembling, badly

"Weren't you listening rabbit? You are going to be here for a long time." He pressed the button and held it down. "By the way the correct answer is Easter."

Isabella screamed loudly now and her body strained against the restraints.

He let up on the button and watched as she slumped against her restraints. "Poor little rabbit. Would you like some water?"

Isabella was not thinking straight or she would have seen the verbal trap. She nodded her head.

Fernando smiled with glee, "Excellent! And water you shall have." As she was suddenly drenched with water soaking both her clothes and her. "That is much better. Now what is your name?"

"Isa.." She got out but paused as if confused.

"Come come rabbit. What is your name?" As the button was pushed again and with Isabella being drenched the charge was even more potent.

He said a name..."Jessica?" the answer was tentative as the screams faded in her ears.

That's right rabbit. Your name is Jessica. Now Jessica rabbits don't wear clothes so we need you to wear something else. Okay?"

"What do i wear?" She asked in a dazed tone of voice

"I will show you my little rabbit." Fernando replied and moved out of sight. He was a minute at the most and came back with what Isabella was now going to wear. "Here it is Jessica. Your bunny suit." As he held up a bright pink bunny suit, complete with the floppy ears and a white cottontail. He walked into the booth. "Take your wet clothes off Jessica and put on this nice dry bunny suit." He commanded.

The restraints were removed and her hands were already moving before they stopped. Something was not fully right. Her hands opened and closed as if she was fighting with herself.

"Is something wrong Jessica? Do you need another round in the chair?" Fernando threatened.

She stood and reached for the edge of her tee shirt, slowly. She tugged it off her form and suddenly threw it in his face and dove for the exit.

She was fast but not fast enough. He caught her by the arm and manhandled her back into the chair where the restraints were once tightened even tighter than before. "Silly, silly, rabbit. Now you will really feel pain." As the button was pushed and a timer set for 25 minutes. Fernando. for his part stood there. His arms folded across his chest as Jessica the former Isabella shook and bucked in the chair.

The pain blurred Isabella's mind so much so that she could not tell which way was up or which way was left. She could not scream any more as she had screamed herself to exhaustion.

Fernando watched as Jessica screamed herself hoarse. "Rabbit. What is your name?" He questioned her.

She gasped out "Jessica"

"That's right. Very good Jessica." He undid the straps that held her. "Now remove the rest of your clothes and put on your suit like a good rabbit."

'Jessica' did so without a word. She stood, and stripped off her remaining clothing, including underwear and pulled the rabbit suit on.

"Very good Jessica." Fernando said and did several things. He first put cuffs around Jessica's ankles which would make her hop. Next he cuffed her hands in front of her and gave her a carrot. "Rabbits love carrots. He told her. Next he put a big pink nose with oversized white whiskers over her own nose. However her bunny nose had a glue on the inside to hold it in place. It could be removed but it would be especially painful and finally he placed a collar around her neck and locked it in place as well. He stepped back and looked at her, "You are such a pretty bunny. Now something else for you to remember. Rabbits hop. So when you are you hop. Understand?"

'Jessica' nodded. She did not speak, and looked ahead, the pain having made her totally compliant.

"Excellent. We'll fix you a nice little rabbit bed you can sleep in but for now. Lets see how well you hop."

She bent at the knees and hopped on request. 'Jessica' was in control, and Bella was gone, either destroyed or in hiding deep in the Rabbit's mind.

"Very good Jessica. That is very good. Your new home will be in the zoo here on the ship. You will be behind a glass wall in a cage where people can come and look at an Earth rabbit." Fernando explained to her.

Deep inside, she screamed but outwardly she didn't do anything other than continue to hop in place.

Fernando came up beside her and whispered in her ear. "Jessica. Do you know what else rabbits do very well. Have babies and you are going to have plenty while you are here with us." He laughed cruelly.

Outwardly she didn't react, after all, he had not told her rabbits could talk and she knew they didn't, However on the inside, she shied away from the concept of babies and pregnancy.

He slid up next to her. "You can stop hopping Jessica and because you are such a special rabbit you can talk. Do you understand?" Fernando asked his newest toy.

'Jessica' stopped hopping. "yes sir" she said in a small voice.

"You know Jessica. You and I are going to have a lot of fun together." As he led her towards his quarters.
