Sapphire hit the chime to Scott's cabin and waited. They needed to talk about the situation on the ship.

Scott was sitting on his sofa when the door chime sounded, he had been thinking on change in the command team as the general unease of the crew over the change.

Getting up he opened the door to see Sapphire standing there. A bright smile came to his face, "Hiya Sapphire, come on it. What brings you to my door?"

She smiled and entered his cabin. "I came by to talk. There is some major issues here."

" Major issues? Man have you got that right. Have a seat. You want something to drink?" Scott asked before he sat down.

"No thanks" She sat beside him and leaned into him. "Crew is on edge, Commander Lovejoy as XO, new captain. I am not impressed that's for sure."

Scott put an arm around her, "I know. I just can't figure it out. Why remove Captain Lalor and Commander Taylor? I mean I know he's still here but in the diplomatic department? Something isn't right."

"They promoted Lieutenant Whavi to Second officer. I hear Arrianna lost it."

"What?!" Scott answered at this latest bit of news. "Now. I know something isn't right. The entire command team removed or replaced." He looked at Sapphire, "What's going on Sapphire?"

"I don't know. Rumour has it, Commander Aurelia Taylor was confined to quarters for a period as well after a conversation with the new captain." She sighed and closed her eyes as she snuggled closer. "Its gone mad out there."

Scott squeezed her next to him. "I Heard that. I never thought anything like that could happen here. This sounds more like Mirror Universe. We are on the right ship aren't we?"

She smiled up at him. "Hmm yes, I believe we are"

" Well I know who I am. Are you who you say you are?" He teased. "Let me check." He said as he kissed her softly. "Yes, your the Sapphire I know and love."

"Hmm and you are the Scott I know and Love" she smiled as she drew back a bit. "I was wondering if you have plans for after your shift tonight?"


"Well thank goodness we're who we say we are. As for plans. The only plans I have is to keep my head down and not attract any attention. Why? What do you have in mind?"

Sapphire shifted and straddled his lap to look him in the eye. Their relationship was not fully sexual yet but it was going that way. "Holodeck 2." She said brightly. "I have a program for us to try out."

Scott smiled put his hands on her hips and nodded "And that's it? That's all your going to tell me? A new program you want us to try out?" He teased her.

"yes, but you have to meet me there to find out more." Sapphire replied.

Scott sighed in good humor, "Okay, fair enough. I'll meet you there right after my shift ends." He promised.

Sapphire leaned in and kissed him. "You won't be disappointed."

Scott kissed her back. "I'm sure I won't be be."

Sliding off his lap Sapphire checked the time. "I have shift, I will see you after yours."

"It's a date." Scott promised. "I hope shift goes by fast. I can't wait to see what you have planned."

"I am sure you will enjoy it." She grinned at him, blew him a kiss and sailed out of his cabin.


== Hours later Holodeck 2==

Sapphire stood outside the holodeck, dressed in loose pants and a tank top. She was loading the program.

Moments later Scott came into view, he was in his uniform and frowned when he saw how Sapphire was dressed. "Do I need to go and change or am I okay like this?" He asked.

"No you are fine" She smiled at him and activated the console. "Are you ready?" she asked.

"I am." Scott answered with a smile. "Lets do this."

The doors opened and there was sand as far as the eye could see. But as Sapphire took his hand and drew him into the holodeck there was a large bedouin tent to their left, on the banks of a river.

"Oh my!." Scott said in awe as he looked over the landscape. "You did this Sapphire? It's amazing. "Simply amazing." Scott repeated as the holodeck doors closed behind them.

"My parents used to camp out on the Nile. I simply replicated it." She said moving towards the Tent. "Come see."

Scott shook his head, "No Sapphire sweetheart you did a lot more than replicate it. This is amazing. Please lead the way."

She led him to the tent and then pulled back the tent flap. "Please" she waved him inside.

The interior was decked out in the old arabian style. Low couches, and tables, all on oriental rugs and lit by oil lamps. And at the far end a low large platform bed, surrounded by silk curtains.

Scott's eyes were as big as saucers as he took everything in. He turned to Sapphire. "Wow." He said as he walked through the tent. He saw the bed but didn't mention it as he didn't want Sapphire to get the wrong impression of him.

She smiled and moved into the Tent. "My family have this exact same Tent on Earth."

"This exact same tent?" Scott repeated. "You lived in so many great places. I envy you Sapphire, the places you've been and the sights you've seen."

"Its a four room tent." she pointed to three different flaps. "Bedrooms and a bath tent." She said "My parents loved Egypt. I was going to be named after the Capitol but they chose not to. I was born in Luxor and lived most of my childhood here."

"Your tent is bigger than a lot of homes Sapphire, Did you say bath tent?" Scott asked still overwhelmed by the scope and size of the tent and all it contained. Sapphire had done a first rate job with this program.

She slanted him a grin. "Bathing under the stars is quite nice"

Scott chuckled and shook his head, "I bet it is. I just bet it is."

Sapphire stepped up to his side. "Scott.." she said softly. "Will you have dinner with me?" she waved to a low table set with food.

Scott looked at Sapphire, his eyes full of the love he had for her. "Sapphire it will be an honor to have dinner with you." He said taking her as they moved to the table. Only then did he release her hand so he could pull the chair out for her to sit down.

She sat at the low table and waited for him to sit beside her. "I thought it might be nice to have a quiet evening away from the stuff happening on the ship. Just for the two of us,"

"I like the way you think Sapphire. This is absolutely perfect. The perfect setting for a private dinner. Thank you for being so considerate and thoughtful." Scott told her softly.

He looked over the large selection of food. "So what type of foods and drink do we have here Sapphire?"

"basic fruits, but this" she pointed to a roast bird "Is Hamam Mahshi. Stuffed Pigeon." She smiled. "Tastes like Chicken." She pointed to another dish "Ful Medames. and Baba Ganoush"

Scott's mouth was watering at the sight of all the food. "Stuffed Pigeon and it tastes like chicken? and Baba Ganoush? Was the eggplant cooked over an open flame?" He asked.

Sapphire nodded. " My family maybe british in origin but i was raised here with this food." She reached for a plate and served him.

"So this tent, the food, drink is really home to you, correct? I think that is wonderful. I'm filing this away for future reference when we go out to eat." He informed her

Sapphire nodded. She picked up a piece of pigeon and placed it on his lips. "Try it." she said with a smile.

Scott did as she asked. he could refuse Sapphire nothing. He accepted the pigeon, chewed and swallowed. "Well, I'll be. it does taste like chicken." He admitted.

She smiled. Then she said "I., uh booked the holodeck for the rest of the evening so.."

He smiled and held a finger to her lips. "Sssh." He said softly. "Lets enjoy our time here and each other."

"That sounds good" she kissed his finger on her lips gently.

He leaned to her and kissed her again, more passionately, feeling her full lips under his. Lips that tasted sweeter than wine.

Sapphire returned the kiss and then gently broke it. "We should eat before it gets cold.

"Good idea." Scott admitted. "I'd hate to see all this food go to waste. I just don't know where to start." He said with a sheepish grin.

She laughed "Start with the pigeon. And then move onto the next plate"

"That I can do." Scott replied with a laugh of his own. As he placed some of the stuffed pigeon on his plate. "What are you going to have?" He asked.

She gathered the Pigeon and some figs. "This to begin with"

Scott nodded, "Good choice." He looked over to her. "Was the Middle East your favorite place to stay?" He asked wanting to know all he could about Sapphire.

"Egypt yes. Though Hawaii is second best." Sapphire smiled.

Scott nodded as he swallowed a piece of pigeon. "I so want to see it with you Sapphire, it looks beautiful, the food is fantastic. I want to meet the people see everything and of course Hawaii is gorgeous. what more needs to be said?" He finished with a smile.

Sapphire smiled. "Next time we are back on Earth?" she asked.

"it's a deal and a date." Scott promised. "Going to see beautiful, majestic awe inspiring sights with a beautiful woman by my side. What could be better?"

"Nothing" Sapphire replied.

They spent the rest of the night on the holodeck, eating and exploring the area around it, visiting Luxor and the surrounds.

"Sapphire, this is amazing. I never knew anything like this existed. I mean I knew about pyramids and the Sphynx but nothing about Luxor and it's treasures. Thank you for sharing this with me." Scott said in an awed voice.

Sapphire smiled. "You are welcome"

He smiled at her, then without a word, wrapped his arms around Sapphire and kissed her with great passion.
