Mission: Darkness Rising - A Phoenix Lalor Sub Plot
Location: Kyle Cragen's ship
Timeline: MD - 13
635 words - 1.3 OF Standard Post Measure

Cragen was furious. More than that, he was feeling murderous. His complex hadn't just been attacked, it had been levelled. Bishop had gotten him, Melanie and Sephine to safety right before the hanger exploded. One thing was certain.... whomever did this would wish they had never been born!

Sephine sat in silence on the couch, curled up watching him. She knew better than to poke the lion that prowled around, so she sat silently waiting for him to explode or calm down.

"BISHOP!!" Cragen bellowed. Even on a ship as big as his, his voice carried when he wanted it to.

Scant Moments later Bishop appeared in the room. "Yes sir?" He inquired politely having no wish to further upset his boss.

Sephine glanced at Bishop and pressed back into the couch slowly.

Melanie looked through the ship. Trying to calm the female slaves that had evacuated with Bishop and Cragen. Melanie had calmed down all the slaves by the time she arrived outside Cragen's quarters. She began hearing Cragen. She knew it was times like this that required her to... stay out of the bosses quarters.

Make no mistake, As Flossi's successor. She was a very skilled slavemistress, but she was not Flossi, and the shouting was scaring her.

"...find out who FUCKING attacked us!!" Cragen continued to vent abd shout. "And when you do, you bring them to ME, ALIVE!! I will introduce them to a WHOLE NEW FUCKING WORLD OF PAIN!!!"

"Yes sir, I'll get right to work on it." Bishop assured his boss. He glanced at Josie or Sephine as she was now called as she sat curled on the couch silent and unmoving.

Cragen caught the glance. He looked between the pair, then stepped between Bishop and his bride. Glaring down at the smaller man, Cragen snarled. "Can I help you with something, Mister Bishop." The words were dripping with danger.

Sephine averted her eyes from the men. She was not collared or bound and she knew it might be an issue.

Bishop turned his gaze from Sephine back to Cragen. "No sir, I'll start making inquires into the attack and will let you know as soon as I have something to tell you." He replied calmly, he knew he was pushing his luck and Cragen could easily kill him but he was hoping his usefulness outweighed that desire.

"Then you are dismissed!" Cragen growled ominously.

Bishop merely nodded and without a word or another glance at Sephine he turned and exited the room.

When the door closed behind him, Sephine seemed to relax her posture a bit. She was less tense and her gaze moved to Cragen, and was without fear.

Turning his gaze to Sephine, Cragen's anger dropped a few levels. She had a way about her that just calmed him. Moving over to the couch, he sat heavily on the center, leaning his head back against the high back cushion.

Sephine moved to sit beside him and snuggled into his side. She didn't try to kiss him or make any other moves, she just sat there keeping him company.

Cragen put his arm around Sephine and held her close. "I'm sorry, my love. I thought you would be safe there. We are going to another of my estates. I have an agreement with the king ruling the area. We will be safe there."

"I trust you love. Can I make you feel better?" She smiled innocently at him.

Looking down into her beautiful face, he smiled softly and nodded. "That would be very nice, sweetheart."

Sephine stood and undid her robe and let it fall. Naked she knelt between his legs and set about freeing him from his clothes.

Cragen relaxed his position and allowed this wonderful woman do what she knew he liked.
