Mission:
MISSION 0 - History Speaks
Location: Galaxy Station
1056 words - 2.1 OF Standard Post Measure
Damien sighed as he looked out the window of his quarters at the Elysium in dry-dock at Galaxy station, nervously wringing his hands together. After the events of the last mission, they were due for some shore leave. And accord to the PaDD o his desk, and the message contained therein, his father was currently docked there as well and wanted to meet up.
He hadn't seen his father since his graduation from the Academy and was nervous. Mainly because he was intending on asking Vira if she wanted to meet him. They'd only been dating a few weeks, and he didn't want to freak her out. He sighed again, running a hand through his hair. Well, no time like the present.
Heading out of his quarters, he quickly made his way to hers, taking a deep breath, before ringing the buzzer.
Vira sat in an advanced risan yoga position when the buzzer sounded. A strained "Come in," sounded from her seconds before the door opened to her darkened quarters lit only by the few candles strategically placed throughout the room. Carefully Vira unfolded her legs and arms and stood straight before turning to the open door, her face lit up when she saw whom her visitor was. "Computer, restore lights."
Damien stepped into the room, squinting slightly, eyes adjusting to the lack of light, scanning the room, smiling when he saw Vira. The door closing behind him, he held a hand up, shielding his eyes at the sudden return of light. before moving across the room, wrapping his arms around Vira, pulling her in for a kiss. "Hey you." He muttered softly against her lips, pulling back slightly. "Having fun here?"
Vira instantly wrapped her arms around Damien, pulling herself up on her tippy toes she eagerly returned his kiss. Smiling her biggest grin with her nose still pressed against his. He always had a way of warming her when he entered a room. His presence gave her butterflies and she was giddy in seconds. "It's much more fun now that your here."
Damien smiled, gently rubbing noses with her, pecking her lips once more. "I'm glad my presence has such a good effect on you." He muttered, grinning slightly. Pulling away, but keeping his arms wrapped around her waist, he glanced around the room. "So, what's with the candles?" He asked. "Trying to seduce me with some mood lighting?" He teased gently, winking at her.
Vira laughed and tapped his shoulder, "I hardly need candles to seduce you." The risian lowered her lashes and placed a soft kiss on the corner do Damien's smile. "I was in the middle of a yoga session, trying to calm some of my restless energy."
Damien chuckled, nodding his agreement. "That is very true. All you need to do is smile at me and I go all weak at the knees." Smiling at her, he let one hand trace a path from her waist, trailing gently along her back. "Next time you have restless energy, give me a call. I've got some ideas on how to help. A run around the ship, exercise, some hand-to-hand combat. All very useful."
"Was that invitation to spar?" Vira's eye widened with excitement.
Damien chuckled, shaking his head slightly. "You seem a little bit too excited at the prospect of attacking me. Should I be worried?" He asked, teasingly.
Tilting her head in an innocent gesture she asked, “What ever could you be worried about?” After a moment her devilish smirk broke through her angelic facade.
Damien chuckled, leaning down, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. "Sweetheart, where you're concerned, there is any number of things to be worried about. Not that I think I'd have anything to worry about if we were to spare." He teased, tightening his arms around her waist, pulling her closer, their bodies pressing close against each other.
The air left her lips in a rush when she registered how close they now were now, the thin material of her yoga attire acting like a second skin allowing her to feel the warmth from Damien’s. Pink bloomed across her cheeks as her thoughts went somewhere other then sparring. Vira cleared her throat in order to redirect her thoughts, “You haven’t told me why your here? Of course you never need a reason, but did you need something?”
Damien chuckled, as he watched her, watching the pink spread across her cheeks. He had a feeling her thoughts were following a similar path. Clearing his throat, he smiled at her. "More of a question actually." He said, running a hand up and down her back. "We're docking at Galaxy Station. And, as it turns out, so is my father. He wants to meet up. And, I was wondering, if you wanted to come along as well?"
The comforting touch of his hand on her back made the realization of what Damien was asking to hit slower than it should have. Her eyes widened, "If you're sure your father won't mind my presence." Butteries and nerves flapped in her stomach. She had never been introduced to anyone's parents before, what if he didn't approve of her? Would that change how Damien felt about her?
Butterflies exploded in Damien’s stomach as she took longer than he thought she would to answer. What if this was too soon? Would she want to meet his father? The feeling lessened slightly when she answered, letting out a soft sigh. “He’ll be fine.” He assured her, his voice soft. “It’ll be exciting.” He said, smiling at her, kissing her forehead.
A million anxiety increasing thoughts raced in and through Vira's mind but were all but immediately swept away when his lips touched her forehead. Her eyes shut and a smile spread across her lips. She was nervous, more about this then anything Starfleet had thrown her way. "So then dinner?"
Damien's arms enveloped her, holding her close against his body, feeling her heart beating, the rhythm keeping time with his own. He nodded softly, saying a soft, "Yeah. Dinner. I'll have to let him know when we're free, but it'll be fun."
Nodding Vira leaned into Damien. His steady breathing calming her nerves. "If you say so loverboy."
Damien smiled, kissing the of her head softly, saying nothing more.
