Tonya who was now showing walked into the Commodore’s office. She saw another Engineer who she remembered from the Academy. His name was Thor Magnus. Standing next to him was Thor’s wife Athena. Plus there was Commander Runyon, the officer from the Department of Temporal Investigations.

Tonya had an idea what this might be about. “Greetings. Victor will be here shortly.”

“Actually you are ten minutes early,” Athena grinned. “Just like at the Academy.”

“I hate being late,” Tonya said hugging her old friend.

“Glad to see you my favorite partner in crime,” Athena sad looking at the baby bump. “You must have gotten pregnant on your wedding night.”

“Or honeymoon,” Tonya giggled poking Athena.

Victor walked in as he saw Commander Runyon first, he said scratching his head, “Commander, it is great to see you.”

“You too Lieutenants,” Runyon said but he placed his palm up. “Your commanding officer and her executive officer will be here shortly. Do not ask any questions. She will explain. Do not worry, it is all good. Before you ask, your father who works for me has been transferred to the USS Einstein. He is the commanding officer there now.”

Victor now was able to put two and two together what this was all about.

Thor who was being quiet waited to see what would happen next. It was not his place to let the cat out of the bag. He had met Victor a couple of times on the USS Izar where Tonya’s sister Mira is still the Captain.

The doors opened once more. Commander Runyun spoke first. “Great to see you both Mam and Sir.”

The Commoder and Captain of the Elysium entered the room together.

Phoenix inclined her head at the group.

“I have a feeling why we are here today, “Victor sighed.

Runyon returned the sigh. “Well let’s not get ahead of ourselves.”

Gary entered alongside Phoenix and looked the group over, giving the assembled officers a nod.

Athena winked at Tonya because the best was yet to come.

“Does this have anything to do with Napoleon being transferred to the Izar to be made their Chief of Engineering? Which I believe was your former post Lt Magnus,” Victor asked.

“Do the math,” Tonya said grinning.

“If I did the math on all the variables and clues,” Victor said as he looked at Runyun, “Bond goes over to the Izar, I get transferred to Runyun’s Department on a delicate mission he needs my help with and Thor and his wife gets transferred to the Elysium. Did I miss anything ?”

“Well yeah,” Tonya giggled with Athena adding to it, “I get to work with you so I can have my baby on a base.”

“Commodore or Captain,” Victor said shifting his look to them now.

"Well nice to know that has been sorted." The Commodore said calmly. "You will be missed Victor."

"Indeed you will be Victor." Gary echoed Phoenix's sentiments.

“We will miss you all,” Victor replied. “Hopefully next time we meet after I leave Commodore, it would not be like the first time we met. Thank you for giving me a home here and helping me adjust to this new reality.”

Phoenix smiled. "Yes Mattias would have an issue with that reoccurring but i wish you all luck. And Lieutenant Magnus, welcome aboard. "

"Good luck Victor. Thanks for everything. Hope to see you again." Gary told the now former CEO.

“Good to be aboard,” Thor said shaking Victor’s hand. “Do not worry Victor, the ship will have a new steward. I will take very good care of it. Athena will serve as my Assistant Chief until we get a permanent one. I heard about your ship has had a hard time keeping one.”

“Indeed,” Victor answered. “I have read up on Athena’s background. She is equally qualify for your job Thor. Surprised she has not been made Chief yet.”

“I have been offered many times Victor but I chose to stick on the same ship with my husband.”

“I totally understand,” Victor replied.

“Alice Jordan will show you two around,” Tonya added.

“Captain Jordan’s wife?” Thor interjected. “Is she still holding out for hope he is still alive?”

“Yes she is still hoping her husband and his ship will be found,” Victor sighed.

The conversation continued for awhile and eventually Victor and his family left with no goodbyes. Victor thought it would be best this way.

After Victor and his family left, Thor and Athena was given instructions.
