Avalon, using the data provided from scans and updated comms complied the last mission briefing for the away team.

She did it at the Commodore's instruction and gathered the away team together.

"Our scans of the upcoming system and planet." She said. "Uploaded into your PADDS and into the ships computer. Your ship has been tagged accordingly so not to register as a rogue ship. The planet is M class so breathable atmosphere. The space station orbits it. It is recommended that you land on the planet."

The AI looked about the room. "The goals are: One, gather intelligence and data around how this race gets to our galaxy. Two, gather any information on friendly races out there that may stand against them and assist us. Three, get back safe. Rescuing Milky Way prisoners is a tertiary objective and should only be undertaken with extreme caution. Space is limited on your ship so keep this in mind. No unnecessary risks. Everyone comes back alive." The AI finished her speech.

Nicholas nodded as he listened. He hated the idea of leaving even one fellow citizen in the captivity of the Thaih'ea, given his own, recent, experience with being a prisoner behind enemy lines. However, when he boiled it all down, his primary concern for safety would have to be Cassie and the rest of his family here, especially his niece, Skylah.

Naxea crossed her arms, sighing. She didn't need an AI to reiterate the obvious and had been said a hundred times. She felt a lot like a baby sitter on this mission. So help the poor bastard that went against orders.

Miraj raised her hand. "We can't land on the planet. We can't beam anywhere remember. We're going to have to park on station if we want to raid its memory banks."

"You cannot land without permit on the station. All must go via the planet." Avalon replied. She frowned. "I am sorry, the Commodore has requested we pause. She is on her way."

The door opened and the Commodore entered. She looked around and said, "Lieutenant Rin, Colonel Azhul, Captain Taylor is not able to be here. I need the two of you to come with me. The rest of you are dismissed until you need to be in medical."

N'vok raised an eyebrow in curiosity but did not say anything. However, he was disappointed that he had not had a chance to pass out the recorders.

Rin tried to disguise her concern. Captain Taylor had behaved quite erratically the other day when challenged about assignments for this mission. Had that been a symptom of something larger? To have him pulled at this late date certainly suggested a major complication. She followed the Commodore out of the room.
