Next stop for Phoenix was the Lieutenant that Rin’s team had rescued from the arena. She, this time took the acting XO, the Chief medical officer and the Chief Counselor. She walked to the small private room within medical and rapped on the door. “Lieutenant Esquivias?” she asked as she stuck her head into the room. “Is it ok if we chat?”

Alicia stood offering a calm, and friendly smile. She understood just how terrifying everything must have been. She could only wait and see what unfolded as they talked.

"Yes, ma'am," Anna said. She pushed herself up off the bed and, despite her casual attire, straightened, clasping her hands at the small of her back, and looking straight ahead.

Phoenix introduced the group of officers behind her. Once the introductions were made, Phoenix waved Anna to sit back down. “Sit down Lieutenant. We would like to hear from you, your story. How long were you a prisoner? What happened that sort of thing.”

Anna sat back down, frozen for a moment. The last thing she wanted to do was tell her story. She folded her hands in her lap. "Two years, I think. It was hard to keep track of the Earth date. I was in a shuttle. I was supposed to report to the Endeavour. I had just been made Chief of Operations there. The shuttle was attacked by one of those vessels and I was taken. I resisted at first but it slipped. You tell yourself you are playing along to get food, to get water, to move about, to take in the scene, but before you know it slavery just defines your daily life. It slips into your own thoughts, no matter how often you remind yourself that you're a captive Starfleet officer waiting for a chance to get free. So I amused them and I played the harp for them and I served them drinks and food and I watched their fights."

Phoenix nodded. "Well that is over now." She said softly. "Your file shows you are an operations officer?"

"Yes, ma'am," Anna confirmed.

With a gentle smile, Phoenix said "Well once you have recovered and been cleared by our counselor and chief medical officer, you come and see me, I think I have a good role for you. That said, I do not want to see you for at least a month. What you have been through is a massive trauma and you need time to heal."

Anna looked like she wasn't entirely certain how she felt about that. She opened her mouth, as though about to talk, once or twice. When she finally spoke, she didn't have much to say. She simply said, once again, "Yes, ma'am."

Phoenix nodded. "But you need to take time to recover." she added.

“I’d like a chance to talk to you, when you feel you’re able” Alicia offered Anna a warm smile. “You’ve been through a great deal, and it’s my job to help you move on, though you aren’t limited to just me there are other Counsellor’s aboard as well.”

"I'll come see you," Anna promised Alicia.

Alicia nodded and smiled. “If you’d prefer I come to you, just let me know.”

Phoenis looked at the group. "We will leave you to rest. Once you have been released, Ops will assign you to quarters." She began ushering the others out of the room.

"Thank you, ma'am," Anna managed, still feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Phoenix led the rest out to let her rest.
