The three who had chosen violence --Damien, Mattias, Naxea-- were each wrestled toward the high security wing by a team of guards. Their hands were restrained behind them and connected to a collar that kept their upper halves fairly immobilised and uncomfortable. They had the decency to change Naxea into the prison attire after sending her to questioning in her swimsuit. The three of them were roughed up; interrogation aside, some of the guards had sought various levels of payback for the colleagues who had been injured by these animals.

Within the span of a few minutes, each were taken to their cells, a crackle of a taser breaking the tense silence every time they resisted. Due to the violent nature of these prisoners, they remained restrained as they were shoved into their cells. The cells were bare, with only a cot against the back wall, and no more than two metres of space. While cleaned for the new arrivals, the dreary walls and stifling atmosphere sapped any life out of it. It made Elysium's brig seem like a resort by comparison.

Once the prisoners were in place, the guards activated the forcefields, muttering insults as they left.

Naxea grunted. Her entire body hurt. Even straining against the restraints hurt. She took in several sharp breaths as she moved to sit against the bulkhead. She was certain one or two of her ribs her broken, not to mention numerous deep bruises and electrical burns, some in more sensitive areas from the shocks and rough handling as she recalled being forcibly stripped out of her swimsuit and changed into the prison clothes since she was deemed a high risk prisoner. She looked up as she took in the sight of Teevs. "How...is everyone?" she asked, coughing, still tasting blood in her mouth.

Mattias, who was bloodied, heavily bruised and secueedun such a way that if he remained like this for too long, his major joinys would need some serious rejuvenation. Regardless, he still strained against his bonds in vain, then grunted. "Their interrogation techniques have much to be desired, but I think I would have a blast ripping this place apart, Colonel. How about you?"

Naxea nodded, giving a strained "Yeah," in reply. She was sure the Elysium were looking for them by now. And may whatever God or God's these Lonians believed in have mercy on them if Gami found out. Because she surely wouldn't.

Damien slumped against the wall of his cell. The blood that had accrued on his face during his initial 'processing' had by now started drying out, and he could feel bruises slowly popping into existence all across his body. Numerous small cuts were scattered across his arms, and his wrists were chaffed and bloodied from where he'd fought against his manacles. Hearing the Colonel's voice, he slowly attempted to push himself into a more comfortable position, wincing as he felt a sharp pain spike through his side. Oh yeah. That was definitely at leasr one broken rib. "Well, I've certainly had better holidays." He called out, a grim chuckle escaping his lips, wincing as his side flared with pain again. "Don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon though."

Mattias actually chuckled at that, though it was clear that he still couldn't move freely, by the strained sound of his voice. "Aww, c'mon, kid. Where else could we get these intense, deep-tisdue massages, free of charge?"

Teevs, frankly, looked terrible. A solid bruise circled one of his eyes, several cuts marked his face, and dried blood sat in the corner of his mouth. What was visible of his arms had bruises, mostly from rough handling. When his hands were visible, there was brusing and irritation on his wrists from restraints. His breathing was laboured, especially as he moved, and even his movements seemed to take effort. His entire posture gave away that he was exhausted from a lack of sleep. He'd stayed toward the back of his cell as the guards moved Naxea, Damien, and Mattias around. It was only once the guards left that he let his concern show. "By Thilia, what happened?"

"They're... kidnapping crew, and asking about you...and your daughter," Naxea said through labored breathing as she fought back another cough.

Teevs' eyes widened. This was the last thing he wanted for the Elysium's people. The news only reinforced the internalised belief that he didn’t see the warning signs. With a groan, he pushed himself a little closer to the threshold of his cell so he could see them better, taking a few seconds to catch his breath once he leaned against the wall. "I'm sorry..." he breathed, his voice scratchy. "I didn't know this would happen. The guards believe that my late wife was a Kavai, a species we've been fighting for thousands of years and are not allowed to have relations with. They had records proving she was one of them. They showed me a security feed of Kerilia with their dermaglyph. Addison was taken with us. She was..."

The idea of even saying aloud what happened to her made Teevs want to throw up, so he faintly shook his head to try again. "... the guards... the guards hurt her. They wanted my confession. That I married an enemy of the Sovereignty and that Kerilia is one of them." As much as he tried to hold it together, his earlier distress began to seep back in. "I don't know where they took my daughter. I-I couldn't... I couldn't watch them hurt Addison..."

"Don't worry about...that," Naxea took a painful breath. "We need to...focus..on trying to ..get out of here."

Damien shook his head. "This isn't your fault Teevs." He called out, breathing laboured slightly. "There's no use beating yourself up or blaming yourself. You weren't to know this was going to happen." He closed his eyes, taking a moment to collect himself. "We'll figure a way out of here. We'll find your daughter and the rest of the crew. It's gonna be okay."

Teevs closed his eyes and rested his head against the wall. They were both right; thinking about what happened and blaming himself didn’t change anything. It also didn't help them now. He tried to let their words take hold. "How?" His question was tentative and hushed.

Mattias chimed in. "If I know my wife, she is already deep into planning how to tip this world apart to find us, Teevs. Your countrymen are about to find out what happens, when they piss of an Erisian woman.'

Little did he know, around that same time, Phoenix had been attempting to do the exact thing. But had been acting so irrational, that her Chief of Security had just shot her twice, stunning her, then surrendered for his arrest willingly.

Teevs looked at Mattias, then Naxea. He couldn’t see Damien, who sounded like he was in the adjacent cell, but he guessed that the security officer shared the same look. Despite being beaten by the guards, they were still... hopeful. Maybe it was their training. At least for Naxea and Mattias, maybe it was experience. He tried to find that in himself. He tried. It was difficult when he'd been restrained in some way for most of the day. It was difficult when the guards berated him, beat him, for choosing this. The only thing he had was a desperate wish that Addison and Kerilia were still alive somewhere. He clung to it like a lifeline.

"If..." His voice was hushed, as if he were afraid to speak too loudly, in case the guards were listening. He swallowed, the effort difficult with his dry throat. "If... a choice needs to be made... choose Kerilia. Take her with you. She will be safe with the Elysium. She is everything to me. I love her, so very much, and nothing can change that." He took a shaky breath. "She has a future, dreams, a whole life ahead of her. I'd do anything, even give my own life, if it means she gets to grow up." His vision blurred, then he felt his tears run down his cheeks. "Please... if I ask anything of your people, it's to save my daughter."

"The Elysium will save everyone, Mr. Dosivi, so stop talking like that," Naxea stated softly as to not aggravate her injuries more than needed to.

Mattias chimed in from his cell, as he strained again against his bonds. His joints were really starting to complain about the harsh angles they were being held. "Damn straight Mister Teevs. We don't leave our friends or family behind. And I dare say that you and your baby girl have become both since joining us on out trip to find a way home."

Teevs looked between them, his quiet appreciation for their words distorted by his anxiety over the situation. He knew Mattias had kids, as he remembered seeing them at the school when he would pick up Kerilia. He recalled a time or two when Naxea was chasing around a small being that he only recognised as part horse-like species because of the holodeck program with Addison. He knew what he was asking of them; it was something a parent never hoped to ask. "Promise me you'll get her off this planet," he insisted. "If what the guards said is true... about her being half-Kavai... they're going to kill her."

A door hissed down the corridor, and Teevs visibly tensed when footsteps approached. Two guards stopped in front of his cell, one lowering the forcefield while the other prepared to enter and grab him. Teevs' eyes widened, and he quickly scooted away from the threshold until his back touched the rear wall. His breathing became panicked. All he could focus on was the guard approaching him, but even Naxea and Mattias, who were more in line of sight than Damien, could see the raw fear in his eyes.

"Leave him alone," Naxea demanded, glaring at the guards.

"Hey, fuckos!" Mattias spat. "I'm getting bored in here, why don't you come play with me?"

Damien pushed himself to his feet, clutching his side as he moved closer to the bars. "Leave him alone!" He shouted. "What kind of sick bastard tortures civilians?!"

The two guards ignored the words from the other prisoners. The female guard grabbed Teevs and pulled him upright, ignoring his pleas to not be taken, before she tugged him forward. When he resisted, she tased him, her grip on his arm keeping him from dropping fully, and she continued to pull him out before he could recover.

As he stumbled out of the cell, Teevs spared one last look toward Mattias, Damien, and Naxea. The fear gained something else. Desperation. While he had asked for Kerilia's safety, there was no doubt that his eyes begged for help, protection, anything. The moment was brief, as it only took a couple paces to move on from their cells.

"Let him go, assholes!" Mattias raged against his bonds. As the restraints were designed for someone smaller than he was, he was finally able, thanks to his constant straining, to break his right arm free. He quickly started to undo the rest of his restraints.

The guard who had merely been operating the forcefield turned. The abrupt sound of restraints breaking definitely wasn't a good sound. Knowing his companion could handle Teevs, he returned to Mattias' cell, drawing his weapon. "Backup to my position," he said into his communicator. By the time more guards appeared, Mattias had gotten most of the restraints off, so the guard didn't waste time. He let a hole in the forcefield open and aimed his weapon, firing several shots into Mattias' chest. Once he was down and stopped moving, the forcefield dropped and the guards moved in with new and heavier restraints. They were sure to kick him a few times to make sure he wouldn't wake up, then were quick to restrain him again.

The guard then stood. "Asshole." He kicked Mattias in the face, then the guards left the cell and reactivated the forcefield.

"That's enough, you khee'tagh!" Naxea demanded despite the pain in her side.

Damien's eyes widened as he watched Mattias suddenly break free, a tiny spark of hope flaring inside him, which vanished as soon as it had appeared with the appearance of multiple new guards. "Get off of him!" He shouted, wincing again at the pain in his side, looking into the cell opposite his own as the guards finally left, a flutter of panic settling in his chest as he looked over the unconscious body of Mattias.

The guard was in Damien's line of sight, and he turned his head toward the cell as he left. He didn't need to say that if the prisoner kept it up, he would be next. The guard's stern eyes promised it.
