In the counseling complex, Savar though he would deny it was puttering around in his office. He had moved the plants
Alicia had given him, the ones she said added personality to his office. Then he had rearranged the diplomas on the wall.

He paused his puttering when the Captain addressed the crew via the ship wide comm.

"Attention Crew of the Elysium. Welcome to the Void. We will have just over 7 days in the pitch black of the Void. We will be going at full impulse for the duration. The ship will be on external lock down. No EVA's. No Shuttles, no Star Fighters will be exiting this vessel. At every 6 hours, Science and Engineering will launch class 4 sensor probes. All Crew are to remember that there will be no light other than that which the Elysium produces. Counseling and Medical are on call for any concerns you may have. Stay calm, go about your tasks, and in 7 days we will be able to go back to normal. Thank you for your time." She cut the comm with a nod at Avalon.

He nodded in silent affirmation of her statement. He strengthened his mental defensive guards as a precaution to entering the Void. He knew Alicia was on the bridge at this particular time. He could sense her anxiety but knew she had also strengthen her mental shields. He sent a brief calming thought to her. As for himself he could sense nothing, that is no outside influence, no sinister entity stalking, watching them. There was only emptiness a blankness. if you will. There was one more thing. He could not shake the feeling that everything was not as it seemed.

He stopped what he was doing and awaited what he was sure was going to be an influx of patients.
