Arrianna entered the Counseling Office and sat down. "Savar, Alicia... I need you to help me with something."

"Of course Commander. Alicia and I are both here to help you." Savar answered.

Alicia nodded. “Whatever you need Ari we’re here to help you.”

"My mind is complex. There are mental anomalies present from when I tore Flossi to pieces. While my physical mind heals as quickly as biologically possible, my mental mind is slower to heal. Especially when I've been tortured. I need someone, or both of you, to enter my mindscape through a meld.. And help me deal with some very unpleasant things." Arrianna noted. "They may hurt Josie when we... see each other again. My people share emotions and thoughts. I cannot share this with Josie."

"If you wish someone to enter your mind Commander then I should be the logical choice as I can control my emotions and not be affected by what I encounter while we share a meld." Savar stated calmly.

"Do you have a weapon that's personal to you?" Arrianna noted. "A sword or a phaser will do." Arrianna noted. "This is not a sorjourn that you should take lightly. They'll appear as monsters and demons in your mythology." Arri noted. "I have created shelters in my mind, but you and I will have to face the evils I created to fight Bishop's influence in my mind."

"I have a lirpa I am quite adept with. Will that suffice Commander, or do I require a phaser or a particle weapon?" Savar questioned.

"The Lirpa will do. "Arrianna sat down. "When you meld with me, Savar, think of your Lirpa as well. You will need it. The Anomalies will take the form of what our minds fear.. The monsters and beasts of the stories our parents told us, or what creatures we found frightening. Our subconscious knows how to terrorize us. You'll see very familiar things, and not all monsters are creatures and dragons."

"I understand Commander, I will be ready to face whatever comes our way and conquer it. I will not let you down." Savar replied evenly as he moved to sit across from Arrianna.

Arrianna closed her eyes and spoke... her voice shook in fear. "I warn you. We'll be fighting more insidious things. And things that will take the shape of that which all Alindari fear.... The Borg..." Arri noted. "There's no greater fear we have than becoming a living machine."

"Commander, we are wasting time. The sooner we begin, the sooner we confront and defeat your fears which helps in your recovery. I am ready." Savar replied coolly.

“Not without me you don’t!” Alicia moved to sit as well looking at Savar. “We are bonded, we are stronger together.”

Savar nodded, "You are quite correct Alicia. Please join us." A ghost of a smile crossing his features.

Arrianna and Savar found themselves in the mindscape. They were in the middle of a pleasant mountain meadow.. but in the distance, an ominous cloud filled the sky. Below it was a barren and treacherous wasteland filled with fire, unnatural thunder, and smoke. The place of demons.

Savar stood next to Arrianna. His gripped the lirpa tightly. It felt solid and substantial in his hand. he had no doubt it would come in handy. He glanced around their location. It was pleasing enough but, in the distance, he could see the dark cloud that filled the sky and knew that was where danger looked, and their battle would begin.

Alicia stood behind her husband. “That doesn’t look good, what do we do now Arrianna?”

Savar gripped his lipa tighter. "Alicia." He spoke to his wife, "What weapon do you have with you?"

Alicia cursed quietly, in the rush to join Savar she hadn’t concentrated on a weapon to bring into the mindscape with her. “I...didn’t bring one, I guess my abilities will have to be my weapon. That’s if it’s possible here?”

Savar concentrated on a weapon for Alicia and another lirpa appeared by her side. "A lirpa for you Alicia."

Alicia took the lirpa. “Thank you Imzadi, I’ve never used one of these before so it’s going to be a learning curve.”

"You are welcome, Alicia. As for using the lirpa, it is not complicated. Grip it like so." He showed her by placing his hand on the lirpa. "This way you have control, and you can either swing it or thrust and chop with it. It is quite an effective weapon."

Alicia copied Savar’s hold standing apart for a moment to practice. “I see what you mean.” She nodded to Arri “Let’s do this.”

Arrianna entered the wasteland and walked to the center She drew her sword as she heard mechanical sounds approach. A borg drone rounded the corner. But this was no common drone. It was an assimilated version of Josie.

"No...." Arri kept her composure and rasied her blade.

"Commander....." Savar spoke to Arri seeing the assimilated Josie.

"It's one of my fears." Borg Josie began walking towards them.

"Do you wish Alicia and I to face this version of Joesphine?" Savar asked as he brought his lirpa to a ready position.

Arri spoke. "You are not real..." she looked at the fear form.

Alicia stood silent, simply watching the interaction.

Savar watched Arri, this was , "Keep repeating that Commander. You are the strong one, this 'being' has no power over you."

Borg Josie walked up. "What's wrong Arrianna.. Resistance is Futile. It is always futile. We can make sure you never feel your turmoil ever again.. But then again... We can make sure you don't feel anything again. You will serve a higher purpose."

"Savar moved to place himself between Arrianna and the Borg Josie. "Stay away Borg, you cannot hurt Arrianna. She is stronger than you."

"No!!" Arri noted. "I'll never be borg, and you won't too." The Assimilated part of the mind began to fade.

Savar turned to Arri, "We must keep moving. Stopping gives your enemies to renew their strength while ours is depleted."

The trio moved and as a unit overcame the terrors of Arri's mind. Now true healing could begin.
