Mission: MISSION 0 - History Speaks
Location: Arrianna's Quarters
Timeline: After meeting with Phoenix and Gary
1177 words - 2.4 OF Standard Post Measure

Arrianna entered her quarters and shut the door. She moved to the bed and plopped down on it. She simply needed to let it out. "Computer. Lock the door and tell all visitors to leave me alone!!"

Alicia was worried about Arrianna, making her way to her quarters she pressed the chime only to be given an automated response. Instead she tapped her comm badge. “Arrianna it’s Alicia, I’m outside your door. I wanted to check you were okay.”

Savar hadn't been able to reach Arri, so he came to her quarters and saw Alicia standing outside her door. "Alicia, I see you are checking on Arrianna as well." He observed.

Alicia nodded. “I’m trying Imzadi, all I’ve got so far is the automated door message, telling me to go away.”

"Try again and inform her that if she does not open the door, you will declare a medical emergency and override the door lock." Savar replied.

Alicia nodded tapping her comm badge again. “Arrianna either you open the door, or I will declare this a medical emergency and override your door lock.” She looked at Savar hoping they’d get a response.

"Give her a moment to consider her options." Savar answered while his eyes remained on the door.

Alicia nodded. “I was hoping force wasn’t going to be required.”

"I too am hoping force will not be required Alicia." Savar replied solemnly.

"Come in." Arrianna noted as she just layed on the bed. Hugging a pillow.

Savar with Alicia entered Arri's quarters.

Arrianna layed on the bed. "I have been informed that Josie is alive... And herself." She noted.

"Josephine is alive and not this Sephine personality?" Savar repeated Arri's statement.

“That’s wonderful news Arri!” Alicia smiled warmly.

"I have been denied permission to see her." Arrianna noted while crying.

"Commander, surely it is only temporary. You must not be impatient and rush these events. This is a major adjustment for Josephine as well." Savar pointed out.

Alicia nodded. “I’m certain she’s just as worried about you Arrianna. These things can take time, I’m sure Josie will understand.”

"Do you want to know how many day I heard her sounds, only to realize it was my mind. To see her standing behind me in a mirror, to turn around and see her gone." Arri noted.

“Feeling her presence only to realise it’s just your mind playing tricks.” Alicia nodded. “Hoping to wake up and find it’s just a bad dream.” She paused. “Trust me I understand, only the man I lost won’t ever be coming back.” She looked towards Savar offering a smile. “I moved on” She looked back at Arri. “You’ll see Josie again, just wait and see.”

"Commander as in everything but especially relationships. Those worth having and keeping are worth fighting for. Alicia is correct, you will be with Josie again." Savar answered his eyes on Arri.

"What do I do, Savar.." Arrianna layed on her bed? "Do I just go on like nothing happened? I feel so helpless, I could not even go for her when it mattered. I just feel useless to help her in anyway, and now I don't even feel like I'm in the equation. This is my private life."

Savar shook his head. "To act like nothing happened is not only wrong it is a lie and does you more harm than good. For you are not being honest with yourself which is what you must be to move forward. You accept the current situation and resolve to get through it. It will not be easy but with the help of Alicia, myself and others you will get through this. A hobby may help you from thinking on Josie as much." Savar offered.

"Very well..." Arrianna noted. "It seems I am at my crew's mercy. I'll do what I can not to feel... Torn. I will recover. But I am not sure what to make of this? It just seems like too much is coming between me and Josie." Arrianna noted. "Maybe I am not to know happiness, only duty."

"Commander, you are overstating the current situation. You cannot will the situation to change or wish it to change. Nor can you hurry it. You must have patience and to use a human term...faith, that all will come about as you wish it just takes time." Savar replied.

Alicia nodded in agreement. “You’ll see Josie again Arri, keep your belief and hold onto your faith. Josie won’t forget you, you know that.”

"This is too much for me right now.." Arri sobbed. "Ascendants.. Why won't I wake up from this.. Leave me and let me cry in peace. Maybe my mirror self is right. No one wants to love me. Get out."

"I thought you were stronger than this Commander to become so distraught because your lover is kept from you for a short period to get her life in order as well." Savar looked at her, "You Commander are selfish. You are only interested in your own self interests.'' He hoped to spur into anger and see how illogical her actions were.

She walks over to a cabinet and gets a bottle of wine out. "Why are all doing this to me!!!!" She walked over and started slapping Savar. "I risked my life for this crew!!! I risked my life, my reputation for Phoenix. Defending her when I thought she had been thrown into a secret prison. I even surrendered this ship.. Just to save her children. Then I lost her, and I had to endure months not knowing if she was dead!!! Or if every last vestege of her was gone." She slapped more and more. "If you think I am going to let Kyle Cragen live his life in a Federation penal colony. Languishing in some guilded paradise prison. You are wrong!!!!! This is not what I wanted to end this." She got on her knees. "We were supposed to be reunited. We were supposed to have embraced each other.." She began. "How do I recover from a broken heart?"

Arri's slaps didn't hurt Savar as he stood there and let Arri slap him. She didn't to get her pent-up rage out. After she had stopped and fell to her knees, he spoke. His voice, cool, calm and unruffled. "You are not the Elysium's self-appointed protector Commander. You did not surrender the Elysium. I believe logs will show Commander Taylor surrendered the ship. However, my point is you assume too much. You accepted all the blame and that is not true nor is it fair to you. You will be reunited, again I urge patience. As for recovering from a broken heart, with time and the help of those who care about you Commander."

Arrianna bowed. She couldn't say another word. She walked to a picture of herself and Josie that was taken on pacifica. If only she could go back... and live in that moment forever.
