Olmex had just finished his daily inspection of his marines and their equipment, and had just entered the bridge, to give his report of readiness. He still found the idea of reporting to the weak young officer, who had been elevated to the commander's position when their former commanding officer had died, very irritating.
Coming to stand before the young man, Olmex gave a respectful salute, then started to give his report. "All marines are ready for deployment on your orders, sir."
Before the commander could reply, the Tactical officer spoke up. "Sir! The Starfleet vessel is activating their slipstream drive! If we do not close the distance, we will lose them!"
"Get us close to them as possible so we can follow them." The CO ordered.
As the warbird start to move, they suddenly shuddered to a stop. "Tractor beam!" The tactical officer shouted in alarm. "We are caught in a tractor..." before he could finish speaking, the ship shook violently as jerked forward as the Elysium entered slipstream, yanking the Romulan vessel forward with them.
In the brig Seren was quickly up on her feet as she felt the shudder. “Thomas? Did you feel that? What’s going on?”
In the adjoining cell, Tom was also on his feet, "It feels like we're caught in a tractor beam Seren. But whose i don't know."
Back up on the bridge, the officers were picking themselves up. Olmex looked over at the young officer who was supposed to be leading them had a shocked look on his face, clearly unsure what to do. The career solider and warrior made his decision. Pressing a transmitter control on his right gauntlet, hhee strode over to the young officer, pulling out a data crystal as he reached him, Olmex inserted the crystal into the reader in the arm of the commanding officer's chair.
Suddenly the image that popped up was the Imperial seal. The face of the Preator hovered in the air, as start to speak. "If this message is being viewed, then my agent, Daise'Arrain Olmex Thikoho has made the determination that the commanding officer of the IRV Havarh is unfit to lead. My agent, therefore is authorized to relieve the failed Warbird commander, and assure all duties therein, effective immediately. Any Romulan soldier or officer who refuses to obey My agent, will be executed on the spot for treason. So I have decreed." The image then froze.
The bridge officers stared and several saluted.
Seeing the sudden fear in the young officer's face, Olmex reached down and physically pulled him up and out of the way. "You are relieved of duty." A beat later, the bridge doors slid open and a squad of heavily armed and armored Marines rushed onto the bridge, quickly taking up positions to ensure Olmex would not be attacked.
There was no resistance. One officer said "Orders Riov?"
Olmex turned, facing the viewscreen. He knew, from the tactical briefing he had had recently, that while in slipstream, and trapped in the Starfleet ship's tractor beam, there was nothing they could do.
Suddenly, both ships dropped back into real space. However, before anyone could say anything, alarms started going off again. Olmex turned his head to the tactical officer. "Senors?!" He demanded, wanting to know what was going on.
"Incoming ... not sure what. Unidentified vessels and subspace distortion." a bridge officer announced. He also transmitted the announcement across the ship. The crew needed to know.
On the deck plating at his feet, the former Riov, watched in shock and silence.
As both ships came to a stop, four other vessels suddenly emerged from apparent openings in subspace. When they fully re-entered realspace, they surrounded the two lost starships. Immediately, a dozen pods detached from the alien ships and flew directly towards the Elysium.
"A boarding party," Olmex said aloud. He then started to issue orders. While they were trapped in the Elysium's powerful tractor beam, they couldn't move, but, they could bring their weapon systems online. "Target the closest alien vessel," Olmex ordered. "As soon as you have a clear shot, fire at will!" He remained standing in front of the Riov's command chair, as the bridge crew carried out his orders.
As they watched, one of the pods struck the Elysium's shields, exploding when it couldn't get free. The disruption caused a hole long enough for the others to get past and slam into the mighty Starfleet vessels hull, burying their rotating drill tips into the duranium and latching on, clearly unloading their cargo of enemy shock troops inside the ship.
As he watched, Olmex was torn. On e hand, he felt some measure of satisfaction to see the Starfleet ship attacked. On the other, he knew that there were innocent civilians on a ship that size, and he dreaded what they were now facing.
A few beats later, the Havrah's weapons lances out, destroying the closest enemy vessel easily, as it barely had any shields to speak of. "Hail the Elysium," he commanded, finally lowering his powerful frame into the command seat. "Inform them that, we wish yo discuss a truce between us at this time."
Several eyes turned towards Olmex, but then moved back to their various consoles, and the message was sent out.
A few beats later, the viewscreen changed to show the bridge of the Elysium. There were several people looking back at him, many with shocked looks on their faces. Olmex, however, was focused on the woman in the middle, her jet black hair done up in a tight and almost regal braid, looking very beautiful indeed. What caught him though, was her eyes, they were a mix of silver and blue, and they seemed to not miss anything that they saw.
"Starfleet vessel Elysium, I am Daise'Arrain Olmex Thikoho. I am the current Riov of the GSN Havraha." He paused a moment, then continued. "While there is much we have to discuss, now is not the time. I am offering a truce between us, while we are both lost in this galaxy together."
The woman in the center, he knew her name was Commodore Phoenix Lalor-Richardson, replied. =/\=I am not one to turn such assistance down.=/\= She said to the tall Romulan on the screen. =/\=After we deal with these... aliens, I would very much like to speak with you about how you are the Riov.=/\=
Olmex simply nodded once, then closed the channel. The tractor beam deactivated, freeing his ship, as the other two smaller vessels turned towards the Havrah, firing their weapons at them. While their simple ballistic missiles harmlessly exploded against the warbird's powerful shields, the rail guns did manage to penetrate, striking the hull with powerful hits. Execute attack plan Alpha One!" He commanded firmly, and the crew reacted flawlessly.
The warbird pinwheeled away and cloaked, vanishing from the Galatonian's sensors.
A few beats later, it re-emerged, firing her disruptor and photon torpedoes. Destroying the closest ship easily, and crippling the the other.
As this was happening, the larger alien vessel had begun its assault on Elysum herself.

In medical, there was stunned silence as the information around their Marine CO's real identity was revealed. But the attack the ship launched moments later had Medical Staff jumping into action.

In the Brig, Thomas heard the words, "Hey!" He yelled at the guard. "If we're dealing with a Federation ship, I can help. I know how they think. Let us out. We can help." he repeated.
"We are not fighting them" A guard replied. "We are attacking a mutual enemy."
"You need every hand you can that can fire a disruptor. We can help fight this mutual enemy." Thomas pointed out.
The guard simply sneered at the human, then returned to his monitoring station, ensuring that the prisoners remained locked up.
