When the pods reached the Elysiums shields, they were caught briefly, before pushing through. Each one then slammed onto the hull at various locations on Elysium, the spinning drill heads digging into the solid duranium hull plating as if it was thin aluminum.

::The bridge shook again as the pods slammed against the Elysium’s duranium plating. The sound of drilling reverberated through the decks.::

As soon as the pods latched on, the front hatches irised open and the hounds poured out, attacking anyone nearby, killing everyone in front of them.

As soon as the pods connected with the hull, new alarm klaxon began ringing through the ship. "Breach! Intruder alert!! We have breaches on decks five, eight, ten, fifteen and twenty!"

Serenity, had just finished up on reports when she heard the alert. She scowled and grabbed her phaser from its place in the drawer. She headed out into the hallways, slowly keeping a keen eye on the panic that was starting to set in.

Mattias had just ensured that Tristi and the twins were safely in the emergency bunkers, and was heading to the ambassadorial quarters, when he heard weapons fire nearby. He reached up and tapped his commbadge. "This is Captain Mattias Richardson. I've got contact near the Ambassadorial suites. Any available security teams, please assist!" He then double tapped his commbadge and hurried forward, ensuring his phaser rifle was set on full power.

Serenity came around the corner her rifle raised. "Captain" She said briskly. "Good to see another friendly face."

Mattias looked over at the friendly voice. "Lieutenant," he nodded, not able to pull her name forward at the moment. "Glad to have another rifle here." As he spoke. There was an explosion down the corridor, and one of the large beasts tore through the bulkhead from one of the empty staterooms. Mattias instantly took a bead and started to fire.

Serenity cursed and took aim as well. She opened fire making sure her line of fire was clear of others. "These beasts suck!" She called as it dodged.

Mattias was about to reply, when he saw the creature crouch as it faced them, and he saw the boxy device on the creature's back. He knew in a split second that it had to be a launcher of some kind. "DOWN!" he shouted as he leapt atop of Lieutenant Triannth, forcing her to the deck with his larger frame.

A beat after he did, a projectile whistled past, over their heads, roughly where the young officer chest had just been.

The projectile struck the far bulkhead, piercing the duranium alloy as if it were a hot knife through butter.

Serenity cursed under her breath. "Ok. lets take this arsehole down." She rolled from under Mattias and took aim and fired at the beast.

As Mattias was about to shoot, another phaser blast hit the creature in its exposed flanks. The high level of energy disintegrating the beast.

When it was dead, George Charles stepped around the corner. He looked like he had been through the ringer himself. As he started to approach the group, the Handler perked around the far corner and fired, the metallic projectiles from his weapon buried in George's back, forcing him down.

Before anyone could react, George looked back as his breathing became labored. "Die, you fuck!" He then opened his mind and screamed with all of his pain into one powerful telepathic blast, directed at the handler.

Instantly, the creature jerked unnaturally, then it reached up to grab its head, before it exploded.

Once the beast was dead, George collapsed, unconscious.

Mattias gasped at what he had just seen, then he quickly sobered up. "Serenity! Help me with George! We gotta get him to sickbay, before he bleeds out!"

Sere rolled to her feet and grabbed George's arm. "This day gets worse and worse" she quipped as they moved down the hall heading for the nearest tube to get George to Medical.
