Miraj opend the door and slid into shuttle. Internally it seemed undamaged. settling into the pilots seat, she started the power up sequence. The miranda made a squealing noise that sounded like someone was crushing kittens. She shut it down sharply, wincing in pain. "Okay, you arent going anywhere." She looked over to Gallia, "Can you get her running?"

"Oi'll need some things from Elysium, but aye, I can dae it for sure." Gallia replied confidently, not even concerned that she wasn't technically an engineer anymore.

Arrianna returned into the castle after taking her scans. "Lieutenant Thornhill, Lieutenant Cross. We're going to remove all of Josephine Carlyle's personal effects from this place. Including the dogs." She mentioned. "Our presence must be completely sterile."

Josephine took a breath "Commander, I have already removed all signs of my presence in the house. The remaining furniture, was here when we moved in." She pointed to a small satchel. "Using the shuttles Transporter, I was able to place my belongings in buffer."

Arrianna nodded and took Josephine aside. "Lieutenant... You know I have to bring James Westin in?" She mentioned. "You remember Mister Varis?" She noted. "He has broad authority in these instances even over myself. So far I've ensured he does not have to use the full breadth of his authority, as he has authority in temporal matters over even Captain Lalor. If he decides that preserving the prime directive requires James Westin's life, to use that human expression, 'my hands will be tied.' And that is what I don't want to happen. I don't want a conflict between my Captain and Varis once all is said and done." She explained.

"I understand," Josephine said softly. "And I am fine with you bringing James in. He has the ear of the King so be careful."

"What if we have a look in Westin room. Could provide us with an answer as to where he went," Casper said looking at Josephine.

"Go for it, its on the 3rd floor, turn left at the top of the stairs, the room with the double doors. The Lord's suite." Josephine said softly. "He is normally at our London House though." She handed Arri the co-ordinates.

Arri spoke. "Lieutenant Thornhill. I am going to recommend to the Captain that a team consisting of you, I, and Ensign Derani recon this residence for James Westin's presence. I also believe we need additional teams to remedy this situation. If he indeed has the king's ear, then he can tell the king anything he wants to avoid capture." Arri noted. "We need to leave this place immediately. That being said; Lieutenant Carlyle, I believe it is time for you to return to the holodecks and sonic showers you long for. I'm having you sent up to the Elysium. As for our recon team, we will wait until nightfall to scout this suite. I'd prefer the maximum amount of discretion possible, so we use the cover of night."

Miraj had stepped out of the shutle to inspect the thrusters for damage. As long as she had thrusters, she could get the Miranda back to Elysium. But they needed to know how much work Gallia would need to do to get it spaceworthy. "Why are we waiting till night, ma' am? Wouldn't it be better to do it now?"

"Our goal is to avoid being seen, Ensign." Arri mentioned. "The less possibilities for people to see us, the better we'll have a chance to resolve this situation. We do not want to advertise ourselves. Not yet. We simply do not know what Westin has told the King."

"If that the case I'll scout out the surrounding area," Casper replied deciding against going to the Commanders room. He left the group heading outside glad to be back in the fresh air instead of the damp musky dungeon area.

Miraj picked at what she hoped was just soot on one fo the thrusters, it came off on her finger, leaving a dark smear. "What could he do? If he told the King we were here, he'd be laughed at. People from the future? Time travel? No one would believe him, surely?"

"But they would believe more plausible explainations." Arri mentioned. "And that is why we must take the utmost caution." She pondered for a bit. "I agree Ensign. Lieutenant Thornhill, do scout out the surrounding area, but stay close. The Ensign has a point, one that bodes ill for us."

Miraj wasn't sure she'd had a point to start with, just random thoughts. But the Chief Science officer had clearly sifted her own vague confusion into real possiblities. And these were very superstitious and paranoid times. If Westin really did have the ear of Charles II, then things could get very hairy very quickly. She patted the Miranda's hull. "I think we'd better get you out of here super fast."

Josephine took a breath. "They won't find this area. James would never tell about it. Its the source of his power. He wont risk it."

"He's going to be spitting fire when we steal it then," Miraj grinned. Then a thought struck her. "If its the source of his power, wouldn't securing it be the first thing he does?" That's what she would do, and she'd read enough stories to know that the smart villians always did that too.

"Maybe, we can use this to draw him out." Arri mentioned.

Josephine shrugged "I do not know what he will do next." She admitted "But if he went to the King, we need to move. Now."

Arrianna nodded. "Agreed. Lt. Commander Norris, You have ten minutes. Either get the Miranda up and working, or we will have to destroy the shuttle's remains with our phasers."
