Captain Mira King, the wife of Commander Pyotr Zhukov and sister to Tonya King had given birth to twins Gerald and Elizabeth. The family had gather at a restaurant in Campbelltown which was part of Kintyre for the baptism. Mira’s mother Marie Campbell King was from this area. Mira’s Godfather Captain Richard Campbell offered his estate for the family gathering.

While most of the ladies were tending to the children, Victor, his father Pyotr and Ambassador Jerry King met with Captain Richard Campbell at the Kilbrannan Bar in Campbelltown to celebrate the twins birth.

“Ah Clansmen,” Richard said as they all came to the table, “Welcome to my favorite place to celebrate with the exception of my home and church. Pyotr, so this is your oldest son.”

“It is,” Pyotr replied, “He is my first born, per say.”

Victor just shook off the way his father said that. “Nice to meet you Captain Campbell. Are you still on the USS Gruene?”

Richard shook his head. “You must have me confused with someone else. I am have been on the USS Ontario for twenty years now.”

Victor realizing his folly because in the other reality, Richard was the Captain of the ship he mentioned. “My apologies.”

Others started walking into the bar.

Jerry looked at Richard as understood Victor’s faux pas. “Richard, Victor here is engaged to my other daughter Tonya.”

“Splendid,” Richard replied, “You know if you two want to get hitch now, that can be arranged.”

“Now that is the thought,” Victor replied.

A few moments later, the doors to the pub slid open and in walked a large man. He was blond, ruggedly handsome and had the bluest eyes one might ever see. He looked around the pub, then moved to the bar and sat down on a stool.

Richard sees the blonde man walked in and he asks, Victor, “Is any member of your family not present?”

“My mother will here this evening, if not sooner,” Victor answers. “”My sister is on a mission.”

“Actually Victor, she is coming in with your mother but that was suppose to be a surprised,” Pyotr interrupts.

At the bar, David signals to the Bartender and asks for a pint of the house special. He then glanced around the bar again.

Victor saw David Tonelly from a distance. Scratching his head he wonders why a member of the crew was in the pub. Victor gave David a salute in a way if he wanted to join, he could.

David saw the Elysium's Chief Engineer signal to him and he nodded. Once he had his pint, he placed a few credits on the bar and moved over to joined the other man.

"Hey, Victor, fancy running into you here!" David said in a friendly tone.

“David,” Victor smiled. “We are here because my father’s new wife Mira who just supposed to be Tonya’s sister had twins. This is Mira’s godfather and cousin Captain Richard Campbell of the USS Ontario. This is my father Commander Pyotr Zhukov and you know Tonya’s father Ambassador Jerry King. Everyone this is Marine Captain David Tonelly.”

David looked over to Richard and smiled. "Well, well. Captain Campbell. Last time I saw you, you were a fresh Ensign on the Forrestal. A belated congratulations on making the captaincy and getting your own ship."

Richard thought for a moment. “Yes, you were a Marine if I recall. Weren’t you the one always volunteering?”

David grinned. "Actually, at that time, I was just a traveler. I didn't join the SFMC until a few years ago."

“Of course,” Richard replied. “That has been awhile.”

Jerry who had met David asked, “What brings you to these neck of the woods?”

David nodded to each man in turn, then, still standing, replied. "Oh, I've been coming here off and on since the nineteen-eighties." He looked at the curious looks he was getting . "I'm an El Aurian," he said as an explanation. "I come to Scotland to get my favorite scotch, Glenturret, directly from the distillery."

“Well then stay longer because I plan to marry Tonya,” Victor grinned. “Her cousin has given me an offer that he can marry us and Tonya has expressed to me she did not want some big hoopla on our wedding. So Badda Ring, Badda Wed.”

David nodded and smiled at his shipmates. "Congratulations, Victor! I wish I knew, or I would have brought a gift for you two."

“Not to worry,” Victor answers, “You can be a groomsman. I need another one as well.”

David was suprised by the sudden request. However, he smiled and nodded. "I would be honored, Sir. Now, before I go get a new suit, what will be the dress of the day, modern or traditional?"

“I will be in Barclay kilts,” Victor replied. “You can wear Barclay or Campbell one unless you have another one in mind.”

David nodded again. "Okay, I'll head down to the haberdashery and get a Barclay kilt made ready."

Captain Richard Campbell yells to everyone, “Drinks for everyone.”

David nodded. He knew that Baeryn was taking care of some personal matters right now, so he could spend a couple days longer here in Scotland.

At that moment, the doors to the pub opened again and a couple, Liam and Samaire Reece, stepped inside.

“David,” Victor said scratching his head a bit. “Isn’t that one of your men? If so, I can ask him as well.”

Looking over, David smiled, seeing Mr and Mrs Reece. "Yes it is. That's Sergeant Liam Reece, one of my Sappers, ad his wife, Lieutenant Samaire Reece, from Operations. I believe she has a family estate neaby." He looked back at Victor and shrugged. "I don't see why not."

Victor waited until Liam and Samaire came up to them. “Sergeant Reece. Have a favor to ask you. I am getting married tomorrow and it is on the spur of the moment and I was wondering if you could be one of the groomsmen. Captain Tonelly is one and I need another one. It will be at Captain Richard Campbell’s estate tomorrow.”

A look of suprise filled Liam's face at the suddenness of the request. Afterall, he might have said but a couple words to the Elysium's Chief Engineer since he had arrived from Camp Falkirk. He looked to David, his senior officer, who was smiling and nodding, then to Samaire. "What do you think, sweetheart? Care to be in another wedding?"

Sam smiled. "I would be happy to attend."

Smiling, he leaned in and kissed his beautiful wife on her right cheek. Turning his attention back to Victor, he extended his right hand. "I would be honored, Sir." He then paused and asked, "What will be the dress? Full formal or a bit more relaxed?"

“For the men,” Victor answered, “Kilts. I am wearing my one from the Clan Barclay.”

"Kilts huh?" The young Marine considered the option, then glanced first at Samaire, then back at Victor and asked, "As my Family does not have Scotish colors, would it be appropriate if I wore the colors of my wife's family?"

“Of course,” Victor answers. “She is a McBride as I recall.”

Liam nodded. "Yes, her maiden name is McBride." He then turned his gaze to Samaire. "Sweetheart?"

Sam considered it. "We can arrange for the kilt to be ready in time." If needed Sam would dig out one of her brothers.

Next Day at the Campbell Estate, by request of Tonya, it was going to be a quick wedding since she suffered from Post Traumatic Stress from being engaged four times before. Present were several Marines, members of The Bride and Groom families and a few Engineers.

Victor was with his father Pyotr who was going to be the Best Man and the Groomsmen were Marine Captain David Tonelly and Sargeant Liam “Swede” Reece.

“Well son,” Pyotr said firmly to his son, “This is your day. Time is a fickle thing and the universe has a strange way of putting things right.”

“Thanks Father and thank you David and Liam for filling in on short notice,” Victor said making a speech. “Let’s do it.”

David and Liam were both dressed in nice suits and took their places up by the altar. Liam looked out over the small crowd and smiled at his beautiful wife.

Sam was dressed nicely and sitting at the back watching with a smile.

Tonya’s father Jerry gave her the traditional father daughter talk before walking her down the aisle. He had been preparing for this day for a very long time. At first he was not so keen on her marrying someone who was from another reality where he was married to that reality’s version of Tonya but he realized Victor made her extremely happy and that was all that matters.

The bagpipes started playing the wedding march, so Jerry waited as Victor’s two children , Lara being the flower child and Vick being the ring bearer proceeded first followed by two of Tonya’s closest friends Claire and Samantha who were bridesmaids and then Tonya’s sister Mira who was both the maid and matron of honor proceeded.

Victor saw Tonya walking from the back as he recalled the wedding he had in the other reality. Now everything was complete. He was marrying this Tonya as he felt euphorically happy because he felt this was meant to be.

David watched Tonya approach Victor. It warmed his heart to see two more friends find each other and grow in their live together.

Liam stole a glance to his wife and gave her a quick wink and a grin.

Sam grinned back at him.

Captain Richard Campbell performed the traditional wedding vows oath. Tonya wanted low key and no fan fare as she wanted just to get it over with so she could put the past behind her now.

At the end, Captain Campbell pronounced them husband and wife.

When everyone applauded, Samaire smiled and clapped as well as she stood with the group.

Bagpipes started playing a traditional song as Lara, the daughter of Victor and Tonya sang the Skye Boat Song:

Sing me a song of a lass that is gone
Say, could that lass be I?
Merry of soul, she sailed on a day
Over the sea to Skye
Billow and breeze, islands and seas
Mountains of rain and sun (mountains of rain and sun)
All that was good, all that was fair
All that was me is gone
Sing me a song of a lass that is gone
Say, could that lass be I?
Merry of soul, she sailed on a day
Over the sea to Skye
Sing me a song of a lass that is gone
Say, could that lass be I?

Victor says to Tonya, “I will love you forever and a day.”

Tonya who now had Los of tears replied, “As will I.”

David smiled at the young couple, happy to see another family forming, honored that he was invited to be a part of the ceremony.

Well, hell's yeah! Another loverly wedding over here. Nice setting in yon Scottish highlands. Good distillation. And extra points for using the word, 'haberdashery' in a sentence. Congrats to the married couple.
