Miraj slipped the external inertial dampener off, fully expecting everything to turn nasty in a split second. She didn't like this at all. Highlaw seemed far too calm for someone who's plan was apparently going to shit in a seachest. It wouldn't be this simple. Not to mention a Starfleet officer had just threatened to mind-rape a prisoner. Everything about the whole situation tasted off. She double checked her panel to see if the sabre class vessel hanging just of their bow was twitching wrong.
Lily grabbed T'Kara and pulled her off the Admiral with a sharp "Stop!" She all but threw the Vulcan at Gary. "Control your officers Commander" She snapped, the bajoran accent at the fore. She then turned to the Admiral who was staggering on his feet.
Highlaw snarled out "Aki! Now"
Lily dove for him yelling "Avalon! Shields up!"
The Computer replied with "Acknowledged" as Lily Kass tackled the Admiral to the floor.
The ship sensors began to blare and three ships dropped out of warp around them.

And now:
Lily looked up from her place on the floor where she was trying to pin the Admiral to the floor. "Lovejoy! You might want to deal with that!"
On the screen there were now four ships. The Sabre had been joined by two Intrepids and what looked to be a modified Galaxy.
Alicia moved to where she could be of the most use, manning Ops. “All four ships have shields up and weapons ready Captain!”
Jax hustled back to the tactical station. His fingers moved through the holographic display like he had been doing this for years. "I have targeting solutions on all four enemy vessels, Captain!" He looked at Lily as he spoke. There was no excitement to his tone. It was clear that he was a very cool customer in a firefight.
"Not my call!" She called out. "Its his!" She pointed at Lovejoy
Lovejoy grabbed the Admiral in a steel grip. "Enough of that Admiral. You've lost. Tell your people to stand down."
Highlaw snarled and struggled. "I should have had you killed when you returned from Andromeda!" He hissed at Lily.
"Yeah but you didn't." she hissed back. "Now stand them down!"
"No, order is given they wont stop."
"Have it your way Admiral. You just signed the death warrant of all those people on those four ships." Lovejoy snapped and then looked over to Lily. "Take them out. Show this fool what he's done."
Hearing Lovejoy speak, Jax followed Lily's command. He started to unleash the fantastically massive amount of firepower, that the Elysium contained, upon the maneuvering enemy vessels.
Highlaw's ship was the first to be scuttled. It floated slowly, clearly dead in space. Next, one of the Intrepids simply morphed into an ever-expanding cloud of warp plasma an vapor. It was then that the other two ships started to recover and began landing hits on Elyium's shields.
"Evasive maneuvers, Lovejoy, delta, gamma, three." Lovejoy snapped off.
As the Elysium began it's evasive maneuvers, Lovejoy opened a channel to the fighters already deployed around the Elysium. "Lovejoy to Flying Tigers, begin strafing runs on the remaining two enemy ships."
From his seat in the cockpit of his starfighter, George heard the orders and switched channels to the one the pilots used. "You heard the big boss, Tigers! Time to turn and burn! Everyone, stick with your wingman! You die of stupidity out here and I will pass on your grave, you get me?!"
A chorus of acknowledgements came over his head set.
"Alright then, Marines, let's go to work! On me!" He then broke to starboard and his engines moved to full military power. They were soon all swarming around both remaining targets, taking shots as they moved about like angry hornets.
Since someone had one shotted the admiral's ship, it made a very useful shield. Miraj moved the Elysium, keeping it tight to the stricken vessel so it could block attempts at shooting whilst never quite getting in range of its own weaponry, just in case those still had power. The inertial dampeners didn't like it one bit as they slid up and over the nacelles. Elysium was a lot of mass to throw around at a significant chunk of light speed. But it was worth it to put the Sabre class between them and the Galaxy, rolling enough that the forward phaser banks had an angle on the remaining intrepid
As Miraj handled the Elysium like she was a part of her hull plating, Jax operated her weapons systems like a starving predator, hunting for prey. With a volly of quantum torpedoes, he severed both warp nacelles from the remaining Intrepid class. He then watched as the Elyium's starfighters descended upon the crippled starship like a pack of hyenas.
This allowed him to focus on the remaining threat. "Ensign! Bring us out to the Saber's port aft quarter, so I can get a better lock on that..." Before he could finish, the bridge shook violently to starboard, as several quantum torpedoes from the modified Galaxy class scored direct hits on the Elysium. Several people were tossed to the deck, Jax among them.
As he hit the deck, he seemed to flicker briefly between a human male and his Orion xB appearance.
Alicia hit the deck along with a few others. Scrambling to her feet she checked her readouts. “Shields are down to 80% and holding. No reports of any serious damage.”
T'las had shifted her weight during the bombardment, using her sword to help keep her upright due to her years of strict military training. "Give me permission and I can modify a torpedo into a modified nanite torpedo and render that ship useless," she stated sternly, looking at the modified Galaxy Class on the screen and then to the renegade Starfleet Admiral as she twisted her blade so the sharpened edge faced him, keeping the blade lowered.
Lovejoy pushed Highlaw to Gary who applied a death grip to his shoulder. "Don't do anything stupid Admiral. At least nothing further." Gary snapped.
For his part Lovejoy reacting on instinct, moved to the tactical station. "Miss Kass, take the center seat if you please." He ordered as his fingers flew over the panel, unleashing the full fury of the Elysium upon the Galaxy starship. A small smile on his face as he watched the ship reel from the combined phaser and torpedo strikes.
Rin sprinted down the stairs into the Intelligence blister, now eerily silent as all of her subordinates were either evacuated or in the cargo bay. She stepped up to the semi-circular central bank of consoles. Normally her staff would be feeding her intel, but today it was just her. Luckily, the current scenario was pretty straight forward.
One console was analyzing the modifications to the enemy ships as well as any damage incurred, trying to identify points of weakness. Another console emitted a holographic display of the scene outside.
She tapped her badge. "Rin to Tactical. I'm sending you firing solutions," she reported matter-of-factly, her hand swiping over a readout to deliver its info.
Seeing the Starfleet officers on the bridge bltantly ignore her offer of support, T'las depressed a button on her sword causing the blade to shorten and fold away as she sheathed it under her robes. It was apparent she was not needed as she turned and stepped into the turbolift, leaving the bridge.
Lily was torn between helping Jax and taking the center chair. "Are you sure Captain?"
A small smile played across Lovejoy's face even as he took the firing solution Rin had sent to the tactical station and fired a full volley of torpedoes and phasers at the enemy ships. "I am certain Miss Kass." and he was at ease saying that. Knowing the Elysium had her true captain again.
"You asked for it." Kass replied.
outside
George and his fellow pilots had just finished taking apart the dying Intrepid, when the blasts from the torpedoes striking Elysium filled his screens. "Oh hell no!" He cursed. "Tigers, form up on me! Someone just kicked the hornets nest! Time for us to go sting the bastard!!" He jerked his starfighter to port and pushed his engines to full impulse, each of the surviving Tigers formed up and followed him.
In less than five seconds, they were swarming over and around the larger starship, making direct hits with their phasers and mini torpedoes. They also stayed close enough to the enemy, that their own weapons were having a near impossible time of looking onto their smaller, faster starfighters.
back on the Elysium
"Miss Derani, Bring us around lets give our fighters some cover. " Lily called out. "Mr Taylor, bind the admiral and if he keeps talking gag him. "Mr Lovejoy, make that ship go away, its ruining my view" Lily walked to the center Chair and kicked the side panel and it fell away revealing a phaser rifle and three phaser pistols. "Mr Reece, select your officers and go assist the crew taking back the Elysium. Feel free to borrow from Admiral Sharr's rule book."
Miraj's finger stroked the helm, and then the bulk of the ship was rolling aorund its hoizontal axis to bring the phaser banks around for the the coup de grace.
Gary didn't waste a moment as he quickly used the cuffs he was 'bound' with to bind the admiral and lock them in place. "Now, do be quiet or I assure you I can find something really disgusting to gag you with."
Lovejoy's fingers flew over the tactical display and an impressive display of torpedoes, and a full salvo of phasers struck the ship, blowing away one nacelle, severely damaging the second as well as causing severe and fatal damage to life support and weapons. The ship was moments from destruction.
By now, Jax had recovered himself, get back up to his feet, his image flickered a few more times, then settled on his Orion appearance. Moving back to the tactical station, he respectfully stated, "I can take back over, Captain."
Lovejoy ran his hand over the instrument panel and stepped back. " Be my guest, my 'Orion' friend." He said glancing at Jax as his holo image firmed up. It's all yours." He told Jax.
"Thank you, Sir," Jax replied, knowing that his real appearance had been seen by Lovejoy. He hoped that it wouldn't be an issue later.
Hearing the command from the attractive Bajoran, Kyle grinned slightly, remembering his former CO. "You got it!" He then handed his console off to a Crewman who moved over to him. After moving over to collect the weapons, he kept the rifle for himself and called over three security officers, giving them each a pistol. "Let's move." He said them as he started to head to the turbolift. "Try not to have too much fun without us, Captain Kass," he remarked with a grin, as the turbo lift door started to close.
She gave him a cheeky wave and turned her gaze back to the bridge.
Samaire called out from secondary Ops. "We have a message of surrender from the Galaxy class. They are launching lifeboats and escape pods."
"Bring them into the shuttlebay and place forcefields around them so they cannot exit the bay." Lily said even as she pressed a button on the console.
Alicia nodded as she looked towards Lily from Ops. “Understood, preparing to raise shuttlebay forcefields.
Lily nodded. "I am sure Commander Sh'ib's team will be happy to deal with them"

Wow!
Loved reading this post. Really enjoyed it. We got something for everybody. Classic lines from this scene:
"Next, one of the Intrepids simply morphed into an ever-expanding cloud of warp plasma an vapor." (Bwwahahahaha!!) Works on SO many levels. Like these:
Upon returning home from a workday, "How was your day hon?" "Well, it simply morphed into an ever-expanding cloud of warp plasma an vapor."
Or, "Hey? You're back early. How did your date go?" "It morphed into an ever-expanding cloud of warp plasma an vapor."
Or, "What happened to your car?" "Morphed into an ever-expanding cloud of warp plasma an vapor?" "Yeah".
Classic.
"Mr Lovejoy, make that ship go away, its ruining my view." (Yes. How many times I have said the same thing while stuck in traffic!)
and
"Lily nodded. "I am sure Commander Sh'ib's team will be happy to deal with them" (Which is basically a death sentence. You don't see too many folk walking around sharing the tale of when they got their asses kicked by a Sequus.)
What a fun yarn y'all spun there. Looking forward to the next part. :)
