Heather and Tallia's Quarters

The day had arrived, having risen early Heather had already showered and sorted her makeup now she sat in her dressing gown trying to chill and eat her breakfast. She was a bundle of nerves but she wasn't going to let it spoil her big day! The day she married the man, who in a short time had become the love of her life.

She'd finally gotten around to asking Tallia to be her bridesmaid with a few days to spare, it had all seemed so surreal. Now she sat hoping Tallia would be able to do something with her hair which was currently rolled up inside a towel on top of her head.

Tallia had been thrilled for Heather when Fernando agreed they should get married and thrilled for herself when Heather asked her to be a part of it all. She stopped for a second to really look Heather over, "So, how can I help?"

“How are you with hair styling?” Heather took the towel off her damp hair and let it drop down. “I need to do something with this mop of hair!”

"I'm a surgeon, so my hands are excellent." Tallia boasted, though completely honestly, "So nothing is beyond my capabilities. What do you want done?"

Savar's Quarters

Alicia was standing looking at herself in Savar's bedroom mirror, she'd chosen a dress to impress Savar but not something that would take eyes away from the bride. This was Heather's day and she wanted her to enjoy it. "So, how do I look?" She did a twirl in the red three quarter length dress with partial plunge neckline.

Savar stood to one side as Alicia twirled in her dress. "It is quite beautiful Alicia. You do the dress justice." He remarked a slight smile on his face. "with apologies to Heather, you will be the prettiest woman there."

"Thank you Imzadi" Alicia's smile practically shone. "You know what I'm looking forward to?" She walked over to Savar and took his arm. "Arriving at the wedding with the man who means the universe to me! Plus getting to show everyone onboard just what you mean to me."

"A truly noble sentiment Alicia." Savar commented then decided to tease her. "Just who is this lucky man you speak of? Do I know him?" he inquired innocently.

"Oh I'm sure you do!" Alicia grinned. "He's around your height, handsome, extremely sexy and makes love like a god!!" She grinned as she wrapped her arms around his waist before kissing him.

"I commend you on your excellent taste in men. Truly you are an excellent judge of character." He replied as one arm went around her waist to hold her.

Alicia loved the way Savar held her. "You know I could spend all my time with you like this, but then we'd never get anywhere would we?"

"As could I Alicia. Sometimes it is more important to do nothing and enjoy it in the company of someone you love than to meet quotas or fill out paperwork."

"That's true." Alicia nodded. "Just wait until after the wedding reception, I intend to spend an enjoyable night with you my love."

"I can think of no better way to spend an evening than in the pleasure of your company Alicia." Savar replied.

Alicia smiled warmly as she took her husband’s arm. “Shall we go?”

"A most excellent idea." Savar agreed as they headed out the door together.

Naxea's Quarters

"You know, it's a good thing I decided against wearing my dress uniform as this hairstyle is defiantly not compliant with Starfleet Marine Regulations," she said to S'hib watching him do her hair in the mirror. She wore a sleeveless emerald green wrap dress.

"Regulations and uniforms are rather boring though..." S'hib teased as he gestured his hands down his body as if to make a point, drawing her eyes towards the tightly wrapped white cloth that covered his arms and neck, down his bare chest and onto a delicate white dress that stopped short just above of his hooves.

"Anyway, you're still wearing green." He added as he leaned down, nudging the side of his muzzle against her cheek before continuing to braid her hair into intricate patterns.

Naxea shrugged and grinned. "What can I say? Green is my color. I have only been to one wedding in my life. What about you?"

"Weddings aren't something my people... do, it's uh... a little complicated," S'hib replied, looking away from her hair and towards her eyes reflected back at him. "So, this will be my first." He added with a slight nod, moving his eyes back to what his hands were doing.

"So what exactly do your people do then?" Naxea asked curiously.

"Well..." S'hib started, pausing for a moment as he looked at Naxea sitting there staring up at him in the mirror. "Marriage as a concept, between two people... wouldn't really work on Sequella," He continued, moving slightly to her side to continue working on her hair. "Marriage usually requires a person to be monogamous, whereas my people are most certainly not." he finished, feeling the silence afterwards ringing in his ear.

"But..." He added, shifting his weight on his uneasy hooves. "On occasion, we are willing to be... for the right person." he smiled, leaning in to kiss her cheek.

"I see. Well, Bajorans are monogamous," she said as he kissed her cheek. "And we're also very possessive," she added after a moment, looking S'hib through the mirror's reflection.

"Hmm, I think you just want to keep my cooking all to yourself." S'hib replied playfully, trying not to smile too much at his own joke.

"So far, I haven't had to make any trips to sickbay because of it," Naxea joked back, grinning. "How much longer?"

"I finished a few minutes ago, I've just been admiring." S'hib smiled as he moved back behind Naxea, wrapping his arms around her waist before catching her eyes in the mirror.

"Horse's ass," she cursed lightly, giving a playful punch before standing and turning to him.

"Ohh... I think I found a chink in your armour," S'hib teased, rubbing where her punch had landed mockingly. "You know I'm gonna have to exploit that right?" He added, his tongue stuck between his teeth as he grinned at her.

"That could end bad for you," she warned, wagging a finger at him and smiling.

"Naxea... I wouldn't want to make us late," S'hib said as he took a few slow steps back, his grin growing as he threw his arms wide. "But it is awfully tempting." He added with a little snort, making it obvious he was admiring her rear in the mirror.

"Right...and stop staring," she said, turning, taking a few steps towards the door. "Let's go, shall we?"

"Of course." S'hib nodded, placing his hands behind his back and following Naxea out of her quarters.

"I wonder how many are attending," Naxea said as she fell back to walk next to S'hib.

"Well, I would assume most if not all the command staff will be attending..." S'hib said glanced down at Naxea by his side. "But other than that your guess is as good as mine." He finished, moving one hand from behind his back and gently cupping his fingers around hers.

"Now I'm really going to feel naked not wearing my dress uniform," Naxea sighed, as her mind conflicted back and forth about appearing professional in front of the command staff.

"Relax, you look wonderful..." S'hib snorted while gently squeezing her hand. "Besides... if there is anything I do know about Fernando, it's that this won't exactly be a... military wedding." He added with what could pass as a frown for a Sequus.

"True...it's a miracle he ever passed Starfleet Basic Training with his womanizing attitude. Hope he remains faithful to Sergeant Raines--for his sake," Naxea said with a shake of her head, recalling the first time she had met the man and he argued against her order.

*Arri's Quarters*

Arrianna was busy with a new hobby. This one was called model building and it was her latest fascination. The model she was building was the USS Enterprise CV-6." She just got done putting a F6F Hellcat on its deck when she heard a door chime.

Gallia had brought Tayalas with her to collect Arrianna, who was, no doubt, tuned out from the world around her completely like usual, to make sure she made it to Fernando's wedding on time. She rang the chime again and awaited a reply, putting Tayalas back on the deck a she did.

Arrianna spoke. "Enter!." She put a Dauntless Dive bomber on the deck.

Gallia walked in holding Tayalas' little hand, "Are ye ready, Arri?" Gallia smiled.

"Wait, it was today?" Arri looked up. "Computer, what's my things to do for today?"

The Computer responded. "0800 Work on the blue carrot agricultural experiment, 0900 Assemble the aircraft on the carrier, 1000 shop for something nice for Anje,"

"Anje, ye say?" Gallia raised an eyebrow, "Whas the deal there?"

"Enna!" Tayalas giggled, she knew that name, it was one of her people.

Arrianna shook her head. "I believe I will have something appropriate in my wardrobe for this occasion. I will only take a moment, and don't touch anything."

"Of carse we willnae mess with ye stuff, Arri." Gallia promised, "Right, Tay?"

"Right, Mommyyy." Tayalas replied, she didn't want anyone mad at her and didn't like it when people started touching her stuff, either.

=/\= Lia's Quarters=/\=

Lia stood in her own cabin, Gary was as far as she knew getting ready in their shared quarters. In her hand a sheer white Kimono, her own wedding attire. She replaced it in her wardrobe and picked out another Kimono, this one was coral pink in colour and had Koi carp embroidered around the lower hem. She fished out a sky blue Obi and placed it on her bed, then collected the rest of the required clothing and footwear. No matter how she tried her love of Japanese Culture ruled her dress sense, so most of her clothing was based on Japanese styles as far as she knew it. A fan hung off the door, it was a replica of an older design but Lia decided to use it as her original fan was going to be used at her own ceremony.

It took her around half an hour to get fully dressed, but once she was finished she placed her sandals on her feet and headed for Gary. She pressed the chime and then pressed the entry button, "Gary, are you ready?" She looked for her intended husband and thought how soon it would be her turn, "I hope I'm not eclipsing the bride, what do you think?"

Gary was in his bedroom getting ready. He had on slate grey slacks a white shirt with a slate grey tie and slate grey jacket with black shoes. He heard the chime to the quarters sound and an instant later Lia's voice. "In here Lia." He shouted out to her. He turned to look at her as she asked how she looked. His face lit up and a broad smile crossed his face. " What do I think?" He repeated, "I think you look stunning Lia. Absolutely stunning!" As he nodded approvingly at her coral colored kimono. "Makes me wish our wedding would get here."

Stepping into his arms she kissed Gary lightly, "The Kimono for our wedding is very different from this one, and our day will arrive soon enough". She headed for the door, "We better get a wriggle on, don't want to be late. What side are we sitting on?"

"It's beautiful and I can't wait to see the one your going to wear at our wedding." Gary replied honestly as he returned the kiss. "I suppose your right, don't want to be late." He agreed. " Fernando's. He's part of the Elysium family and a member of your department. Nothing against Heather but I really don't know her."

Lia nodded in agreement, "Can't say I've met Heather either, so ok Fernando's side it is". She stepped out into the corridor and waited for Gary, then the pair made their way to the wedding ceremony.

Gary came up beside her and cocked his arm so Lia could put hers through and together they headed for the wedding.

Anje was passing by as they came out, finally on her way to the wedding, "Lia! Gary! Hi!" She called out, happy to see them.

Fernando's Quarters

In his quarters, Fernando nervously paced. He was wearing a rut in the carpet. He had dressed and undressed three no four times and now he was pacing in his boxers, shirt and shoes. He loved Heather, totally and completely so why was he so nervous? Right now he was giving himself a pep talk. "Come on Fernando! You love Heather and she loves you. You two were made for each other. Stop being afraid and man up! If you don't, Heather will hunt you down and kill you. There's no place for you to hide!" He nodded his head in agreement at his inner self's logic. "Yes, my time alive would be numbered in seconds and I do love her so." On that note he went into the bedroom to get dressed.....again.
