Phoenix shut down the hologram and gave orders. "Break orbit. Get us behind the moon. Then I want tractor beams online so we can tow that device off of the Moon. Then take us to transwarp Destination, the VOID."

Neri nodded and set course. the Elysium gracefully broke orbit and headed for its next destination. The DarkSide of the moon.

"All crew accounted for Captain" Sapphire reported from Operations. "We are standing by with tractor beam!"

"Once we are in position, lock on and pull with as much power as required."

"Aye." Sapphire coordinated with Ops and Engineering as the Elysium glided into position over the strange object.

Gary was in quarantine with the rest of the away team. he was lying on a cot staring up at the ceiling as the seconds literally dragged by. "This is agony." He complained to no one in particular "And it's boring agony."

Responding to Commander Taylor, Turak tried to lighten the mood, "Yeah, but at least we're not alone, Sir. We'll be out of here before you know it."

Gary turned his head so he could look at Turak. "I admire your outlook Mr. Turak. Unfortunately I never was one long on patience and just sitting around waiting is draining and boring."

Arrianna typed on a console in the isolation room and opened a channel to the bridge. Her work pretty much never done. "Captain... I'm studying our sensor logs of the Void's temporal anomalies. I think I can set a course back to our own time. Give or take one or two months. I don't think we'll arrive back right when we left, the Void is just too unstable."

[[That's great Arri, I'd prefer it to be as close as possible though. And preferably AFTER we left.]]

I'm doing what I can down here with a medical console in this isolation room. I need Lt. McKay at my science station. She'll be able to check my course and numbers more effectively. I'd say, maybe one or two weeks if Nevada could fine-tune the calculations. I'm working on a very small console in here."

Nevada McKay shifted herself Awkwardly as she stepped over to the Console, her narrowing as she tried to make sense of the Information scrolling across it. "I...don't know anything about temporal Physics and Quantum entanglement..." she said Just loud enough to be heard through the com Link. "But..." she tapped a few Commands on the console, her brow furrowing into a frown of furstration. "I...think...we should land...if the Computer can be trusted...a couple weeks after we left," she puased and tried to break the ice with a joke. "Give or take some deevolution on the lower decks."

"That sounds promising" Phoenix said.

I just needed my console to verify the trajectory. We better get everyone in the shelters. We'll be able to avoid much of the shearing in the Void this time, but it will still be a ride." Arri mentioned. "And I'd function better if I wasn't in this Isolation Chamber."

[Do you want some cheese and crackers with that Whine Commander?] Phoenix asked from the bridge.

Arrianna raised her eyebrow. "I do not drink alcohol, Captain. But I will gladly take the cheese." Once again, Arri's wit was showing.

[Get us home, and I will send you a wheel of Brie]

Sitting in isolation, Lia glanced about. Her team was else where so she was sat on her own, *I'm bloody sick of this, just let me outta here* she thought.

A medic came up to Commander Holmes. "Commander Holmes, your team's time is up. Captain Lalor is requesting you report to the bridge as soon as you can."

On hearing she was finished, Lia headed for the bridge. =^="Holmes to Lalor, I'm out of sickbay and on my way to the bridge. Ant chance of a heads up on what's happening?" She found the turbo lift and entered, "Bridge". As is headed for the bridge she waited on Phoenix getting back to her, with luck Gary would also join them.

Phoenix acknowledged Lia's call and waited.

Sitting in the XO's seat, Naxea still felt out of place and a bit unnerved that the Captain didn't send in the Marines in to rescue the team. However, that was a discussion for another time as she observed the on goings of the bridge.

"How are you doing?" Tate asked quietly, loud enough for Naxea to hear but not so loud that everyone else on the bridge could here. It occurred to Sullivan they were both in positions they were qualified to feel well enough, but had not had much opportunity before to experience.

Turning to the counselor, Naxea shrugged. "To be honest, a bit bored and out of place...and this chair is way to comfortable," she again squirmed in the seat, wondering how in the hell Commander Taylor sat in it? Perhaps it was just her?

Devin couldn't wait to be relieved and allowed to leave the bridge. She wasn't happy about the situation at all. She was certain that she had made numerous mistakes for not knowing what she was supposed to be doing at the communication console. This wasn't her forte and she wasn't comfortable with it in the least. Give her an enemy line to infiltrate or place explosives for the rest of the team to storm the gates as it were. Going under cover gathering information or sneaking in to retrieve key personnel and back out again. That was her niche. Those were her highest skills and experience this bridge duty baffled the hell out of her. She as really beginning to think this assignment wasn't for her.

Entering the bridge, Lia headed for Phoenix. "So before I take station, is there anything I need to know Captain?" She glanced around and wished she hadn't, none of the old faces stood at their stations. And she missed those faces, and the people behind those faces.

"I need you to get the tractor beams in place and ready to pull your artefact from the Moon." Phoenix said. "And we need to do it without altering the Moon's orbit in anyway."

Lia nodded, "Roger that, I'll work out what's needed, wish Commander Vantar was here. She'd work it out in an instant". She then crossed to her station and began work.

Phoenix nodded and turned back to the viewscreen.

Not an hour later the Elysium jumped into Slip stream away from Earth. They made a short stop over at a blackhole and dropped the device off. And then, with Arri's calculations in hand, they found themselves at the VOID.

Phoenix took a breath. "initiate Commander au Vantar's instructions." She ordered

A chorus of Aye's echoed through the bridge. And then, they entered the VOID, following Arri's instructions.

=3 days later=

Starbase 1 was in sight, and Phoenix could breath finally. Lt. Commander Westin was in a cell, and Lt Carlyle was in a cabin under guard. The crew were all back to their normal posts and Phoenix was review reports as the Elysium glided into dock. Escorted as they were by the USS Atlantis C, it felt like they were limping home, despite the fact that they had full power. The crew were for the most part silent. There was no need for chatter when they were almost home and R&R called for them all.

And that device on the dark-side of the moon had been thrown into a black hole on their way back to the VOID. After complete technical scans were made of it, and saved in the Elysium’s database to be shared with Starfleet. She filed her reports about the mission as docking procedures were undertaken.

Taking a breath she stood up from the centre chair as the docking bay doors closed behind them. “Avalon ship wide channel please.”

[Of course Captain] came the AI’s reply.

Across the ship, her voice came through clearly. “Attention all hands. These past few days have not been easy. We have faced several obstacles and come out from those fires stronger. Before we release you to 2 weeks shore leave, I have some announcements. Effective immediately, Ensign Miraj Derani is hereby assigned as Chief of flight control. Commander Anje Brett is moving to Strategic Operations Officer. And Lt. Commander Arrianna Salannis an Vantar is here by promoted to full commander and will be the Elysium’s Second Officer."

Phoenix took a breath. “Two weeks shore leave for all crew. Enjoy it. Do not waste it.”

The gods knew she would not be. She had several houses booked to look at. All with top notch security and she had contacted Starfleet command to get contact with Ken re-established. So far, none of her contacts had been able to assist with this. She nodded at Avalon who shut down the coms. “Avalon, commence uplink to Starfleet command and transfer that mission logs and data to their main computer. Inform medical that the transfer of wounded and deceased personnel may now commence.”

“Yes Captain.” The AI again replied studying the captain carefully. “Captain?”

“Yes Avalon?”

“Are you alright?”

“Just tired” Came the calm reply. “Commander Taylor, you have the bridge, once docking is completed, please commence the disembarking procedures for the crew. Two weeks people I do not want to see or hear from any of you for two whole weeks. I have plans that do not include being beamed up, arrested, transported to another place and time and I am going to enjoy them.” She gave a smile and headed for her ready room.

Then, leaving the bridge in Commander Taylor's capable hands, Phoenix retreated to her cabin. The door slid behind her and she took a breath. This whole craziness would end she promised herself. It would end and end soon.
