[Sthilg] & Senior Chief Petty Officer Emily Charles {Kelea-Salik} & Lieutenant Commander Kara Starr {Kelea-Salik}

Mission: Season 5: Interlude: Darkness Abounds
Location: Main Sick Bay
Timeline: MD4 12h00
2015 words - 4 OF Standard Post Measure

Sthilg nooded as he looked at the assembled team and gear on the assembled biobeds. The team was his best doctors and nurses all of who knew how to make fake injuries. If this admiral was to buy this ruse they'd need to look the part.

Giving his team a nod. He glanced over at Snow indicating for the small robot to open the doors. It was time to start this busy day.

Kara entered Sickbay alongside Emily Charles, the two had met enroute to Sickbay and struck up a friendship.

“It’s going to be a busy day” Emily smiled. “If you need a break at any point just let me know.”

Kara nodded and smiled. “I appreciate that, thank you” As Emily headed to get started Kara walked across to Sthilg. “I thought I’d come and give you a hand Doctor.”

" Thank you misss Kara. Jussst take a biobed and the toolsss are on the shelf next to it." The gorn said warmly.

Garrett entered Sickbay next. "I'm here for my 'beating'" he said with a thin smile. "Where would you like me to sit?"

Etrara walked back into sickbay wondering what she would look like when she walked out. “Do your worst” she announced.

George walked on next. Nodding to the medical staff and other gathered officers, he said, "I'm hear for my busting up, Doc."

" Thank you all for coming. Captain can you go with Visssse and ssshe'll get you ssseen to, Etara can you take a seat on my biobed and Kara can you sssee to George?" The lizard delegated to his team.

"Yes Sir" Kara nodded and offered a smile as she looked towards the man approaching her. "Right let's get you looking battered and bruised" she grinned as she motioned him to a biobed.

George smiled and returned in return. He moved over to the indicated biobed. "Be gentle," he joked, "but make me look good and bad." He gave the attractive woman a friendly wink.

Kara grinned. "Don't worry I'll have you looking like you've taken a beating in no time, and it'll be completely painless. Do you mind removing your jacket so I can put some corresponding bruising around your ribs area please."

George nodded, removing first his uniform jacket, then his tank top. As he pulled the latter off, Kara, and anyone else behind George, could easily see the fifteen, small circular burn scars that covered his back.

Kara gave George an understanding look before activating the privacy screen. “There that saves you having to be stared at.” She smiled warmly.

George shrugged slightly. "It's okay. I'm not ashamed of them. I keep them as a reminder to never be a victim again."

“I totally understand.” Kara smiled warmly as she worked her magic making it look like George had bruised ribs from a beating. “Are you by chance related to Emily Charles?” She looked at George curiously.

He smiled warmly. "She's my twin sister." There was both love and pride in his voice as he spoke.

Kara smiled warmly. “I thought there was a similarity between the two of you.” She finished off his ribs. “You can put your shirt back on now. Just don’t forget to favour those ribs from time to time, make it look good. Now just your facial bruising to do and you’ll be good to go.”

Pulling his tank top back on over his head, he replied. "I've had broken ribs before," he said matter-of-factly. "I can act out the pain of them." He then sat still while Kara worked on his face.

Kara smiled. "I've no doubt you've got great acting skills." She finished up what she was doing before handing George a mirror. "There you go, all beaten and bruised."

Looking at his reflection, George thought the work did look authentic. He had been beaten more than once by his foster parents, that he wasn't shocked or amazed by what he saw now. "Thank you," he said pleasantly as he slid off the biobed and pulled his jacket back on. He then left Sickbay to oversee the preparations down in the launch bays.

Emily smiled as she approached Sthilg. "What about you and me Sthilg? will we need to have any fake injuries?"

" If you want my dear. I can do you at the end of the day before I sssee to myself." the gorn replied.

Etrara settled on to the designated bio bed and waited for Sthilg to do his worst.

" Okay my dear let's get you ssseen to. A few fake cutsss and black eye ssshould do." The gorn said as he picked up the first tool. " Don't worry my death you won't feel a thing."

Dr. Taylor walked in. "Alright who's next for this rather grim procedure." The doctor noted. "And I'd like to take now to point out how foolish this idea is, but I am a doctor, not a secret agent."

"In that case you can do me" Heather looked across from where she was sitting on her biobed. "I'm not leaving my son, so I'm going to need to look as though I put up a fight to defend him."

Dr. Taylor went to work. "Ironic. I spent most of my time at medical school treating injuries like these on myself. Let's just say the New Canaanite medical establishment is.... a toxic workplace."

Heather shook her head. “That’s terrible, no one should suffer abuse like that whilst doing their job.”

"I was raised on Dante's overlook over the rings of hell, Ensign." Katherine noted. "Mother taught me never to let myself flinch from the abuse... and never to let anyone see you cry." Katherine mentioned. "You remember President James Green? He never forgave me when I chose Albert over him." Katherine began creating the bruises. "He truly despised Albert when I had my husband's son. And when Albert 'had his accident.' His advances became intollerable. I was in turmoil on what to do before your away team walked up." Katie noted. "I do not miss that horrible place."

"I don't blame you. Fernando saved me from life as a slave and drug addict. Without him I'd still be stuck there."

Alicia entered Sickbay looking around to wait her turn. Although she was being a mutineer she wanted to look like she’d been involved in the fighting. She waited until her father was finished before approaching him. “Would you mind giving me some facial bruising? If i’m a mutineer I need to look like I’ve helped in capturing my shipmates.”

" Off courssse my dear." Sthilg said as he finished with Etrara. He'd given the Klingon hybrid a few fake bruises and what looked like a phaser burn across her ridged forehead. " How have I done my friend," he asked the hybrid.

“Thank you Doctor I look suitably…..good.” She jumped up and went on her way.

As the tactical officer departed the gorn patted the biobed. " Come on my dear."

Kay'vek finally entered. This deception was strange to him. Add to that he was ordered to allow himself to be captured. He waited for his bruising.

Kara made her way over to Kay'vek. "Looks like you're my next patient. I'll have you covered in fake bruises in no time."

He growled a bit. "Fake bruises... And I have been ordered to bear this indignity by the Captain." He noted. "I'd prefer we go down to the Holodeck where I could get some real bruises. Perhaps I could finally see if the Lieutenant Colonel is worthy to command the Marines. She looks like a robed Bajoran Vedek." Kay'vek cracked a smirk.

Kara grinned. "I can make you look like you've been through a glorious battle, fought with honour." She smiled and started work again. "There will be no dishonour in this, you will have your chance to fight for real."

"Bah... This is the way Romulans fight." Kay'vek noted. "But it is my duty to do as commanded. It better not be pointless how the Empire fights. My grandfather left the Empire because it fought pointless wars for no reason other than the shedding of blood. This enemy better be worth fighting."

“Oh this enemy is very worth fighting” Kara smiled as she made an extra good job of the wounds on Kay’vek, after all a Klingon was not easily beaten in a fight.

Ebi stepped into Sickbay rather casually, hands stuck into the pockets of a knee length tunic. "Make it look good," he said with a bit of a chuckle to one of the doctors. "Apparently I was too busy fighting back to get evacuated with the civilians."

"I wouldn't worry about it," Miraj said, settling next to him as Sthilg and his staff bustled around them. "it will make it the whole think look better. More chaotic and realistic. Though I don't think anyone would ever believe I even got in a fight, let alone be any good in it." She shrugged. And if the admiral had done his homework, she doubted he'd believe any of the remaining crew would have needed to deck her, either. Maybe it would work if they made it look like she'd been knocked into a door, or the conn of something.

With a slight flash Snow appeared before them. "I can create a very effective looking bruise from a consol blow Ensign Miraji."

"sign me up." Miraj told the little exocomp. "and a double dose of phaser burns for our brave civilian?"

" If you'll jussst follow me I have a bio bed set up in ward two." The small robot said as he started leading the way.

David entered the busy sickbay and paused at the door, seeing there was a line of officers and crewmen ahead of him in line.

Olivia walked into Sickbay to see that it was busy with everyone getting fixed up to make it look as though they had all been through a fight. She went over to Commander Sthlig to check in with him. Where would you like me to help out?

" Take one of the disssusssed biobedsss and get to work my friend." The gorn said happily as he finished with his latest patient.

"You got it boss," Olivia replied. She then headed over to one of the biobeds so that she could get to work.

Damien walked into the med bay, running a hand nervously through his hair as he did, not really sure what to expect at the end of this. Seeing the line of Officers waiting to get their 'beating', he took his place at the back, waiting his turn.

Dr. Taylor spoke while attending to another crewman. "If I may be so bold. This plan is the most ominous one I've ever been a party to. Mutiny and Piracy... I dare say we are in the company of scoundrels, but alas... I am simply a doctor.

" You'll sssee more ominousss plansss if you make my age my dear." The gorn doctor replied with a chuckle as he finished off his next patient.

There was a loud snoring coming from across sickbay as Rhen was asleep in a chair with his feet propped up on the desk. He was supposed to be getting his first check up since he was new to the ship. But the long lines made him saunter off to a office and wait there only to fall asleep.

The gorn heard the noise and poked his head into his office. " Hello there." He said walking over and giving the stranger a shake on the shoulder. " Can I help you with something?"

Opening his eyes Rhen got to his feet taking a moment to stretch. "Yeah, new addition to the crew...was coming in for my initial check up." He rubbed the sleep from his eyes. "What's with the lines? Holiday I am not aware of?"

" Preparing for a missssion." the gorn replied. " Would you to wait here and I'll get you ssseen to asss sssoon asss possssible." he said reassuringly.
