Mission:
Season 5: Time Warp
Location: Colorado Earth - Lalor Ranch
Timeline: 27/07/2397 - Midday
8519 words - 17 OF Standard Post Measure
The Large ranch was decked out well in the warm summer sun as people beamed in, in preparation for the wedding. Set in the mountains, it was a large 36.53 private acres surrounded by pristine National Forest Service land to the west and Glacier National Park to the East with approx. quarter mile of the North Fork of the Flathead River known for its exceptional fly fishing bordering the ranch.
A massive dance floor had been constructed in the area behind the main house and around it, tables were set up. Each table could sit up to 8 people, and the chairs were decked out in white and silver ribbons. The Dance floor was going to be lit by hundreds of fairy lights which were strung over the top of it. And off to the side of it, long tables were being set up by caterers for the meal that would follow the wedding ceremony.
As guests beamed in, they were directed around the main house to where they found a wooden gazebo was constructed before rows of chairs. The chairs and Gazebo overlooked a large wide river and the backdrop of the mountains of Colorado.
If the guests were staying the night they were also directed to one of the many cabins set up along the riverbank where they would find their sleeping quarters, all with water views.
Inside the Main house, the two separate wedding parties were getting ready and outside the Mother of the Bride and Brother of the Bride worked hard to make sure the guests were comfortable.
Captain Garrett Lovejoy of Galaxy Station and his partner Samanatha beamed in. He looked around and nodded in approval. "Very nice. Don't you think so Sam?"
Samantha, dressed up for once, was wearing an dark purple dress with spaghetti straps and matching high heels. "Its a lovely spot." She agreed with a warm smile.
Arrianna beamed in and carried a magnificent wooden case holding Phoenix's sword. She seemed more lively with energy after a few days, but she was stll worried sick about Josie. It was difficult, somehow she was enduring it. She walked up wearing a brighter kimino. "Well, well, well." She noted with a grin. "Looks like it's the 'former' Captain of the USS Elysium? Did we get reassigned? Garrett. Must have been scandalous having your ship snatched again from under you by a 'traitor?'" Arri teased him with a wicked grin.
Garrett spun at the voice and saw Arri standing there. "Commander an Vantar, it is good to see you again." He said sincerely, "Not scandalous at all Arri, as I knew the story of Phoenix being a traitor was that a story. " He replied a smile on his face.
"And her crew of scoundrels and ne'er-do-wells." Arrianna mentioned. "It's almost too much to bear, isn't it?" She continued her smirk.
"Pirates and rogues the whole lot of them." Garrett agreed with a smile. "However, they work as a cohesive unit and are loyal to Phoenix."
Sam linked her arm through Garrett's and leaned against him. "They did a good job i hear."
Garrett looped his arm around Sam's waist. He loved her so much! She was the best thing for him and Gavin. She looked better, she smiled and laughed more. She was coming back to life. Being on Galaxy Station and helping others was helping her and he couldn't be happier.
Imik beamed in and stood amazed at the surroundings, so many people just who would she talk to? Who would talk to her? She moved towards an empty area and found a seat, taking care to smooth her uniform skirt out before sitting down.
Alicia and Savar arrived on the surface along with their two children. Connor was dressed in very smart suit trousers with a shirt and waistcoat, while baby N’Vea was dressed in the cutest pink party dress with a pink bow in her hair to match. Alicia smiled as she looked around the setting. “It’s gorgeous here isn’t here Imzadi?”
Holding Connor's hand, Savar looked at the sea of colors and the natural beauty of the area. "It is most awe inspiring Alicia. Vulcan has nothing like this in the way of color."
“Awe inspiring indeed” Alicia nodded as she grinned at Connor. They’d considered putting him in a suit jacket, but had decided against it in the end. “Let’s find our seats ready shall we?”
"A wise decision Alicia." Savar answered as he held Connor's hand. "We are going to find our seats, come along Connor."
"Pretty colors Daddy." Connor replied as he walked beside Savar.
“Gorgeous isn’t it?” Alicia smiled at her son. “We’ll take the time to enjoy it whilst we’re here.”
"Promise Mommy, Promise Daddy?" Connor asked as the family walked to find their seats.
"Yes son, we promise." Savar replied.
"Yay!" Connor squealed.
Alicia couldn’t help but grin, it wasn’t very often that they got to enjoy something like this. She intended to enjoy it with her family.
Leilani beamed in alongside husband George, son Hendor, and Emily. Smiling as she took in the beauty around them. “Wow this is a lovely setting don’t you think?”
“It’s gorgeous!” Emily grinned as she straightened her dress uniform. There were times she hated wearing it, but this wasn’t one of them.
George, wearing his Marine dress blues, held onto Hendor's hand as they all took in the view. "Wow," he said softly. "The Captain's really have gone all out on this, haven't they?"
Hendor was craning his little head around, looking for something or someone.
Leilani grinned as she looked at Hendor. “Looking for Skye? Don’t worry she’ll be here soon.”
Hendor looked up at his mother and smiled brightly. "I hope so, Ma! I really like her! She's very pretty and very smart!"
George chuckled softly as he sent his wife a telepathic message. Yup, totally smitten with her! When should we start planning their wedding? He was kidding...mostly. He knew that it was Betazoid tradition to have prearranged marriages, however, he didn't know how Leilani or Samaire felt about that.
Leilani grinned as she looked towards George. I think we’ll let Hendor choose his own true love when the time comes Imzadi. Just the way I found you.
You always know the best course of action, Imzadi. Georged replied, as he sent over a few images of how much he loved both her and their family. I am so very glad that we found each other. I love you, Leilani Charles
As I love you, Imzadi. Leilani smiled as she gave George a loving kiss.
Lia now arrived on her own, dressed in a light blue Kimono with a bright red Obi. Gary had said he would join her later, so she looked around to see who was there. Everyone seemed to be talking or busy so spotting Imik she headed for her, "Legate, you looking smart in your uniform. Are you here on your own?"
Imik turned to look at Lia, "Commander Taylor, thank you for your compliment. Yes I am attending on my own, I have no mate or partner to accompany me. I see you are wearing a Kimono once again, perhaps I should have requested your aide in my own attire."
A smile brightened Lia's face, Imik had once before worn a Kimono. And even Lia had to admit, she wore it well. "I could always take you to my quarters and find a Kimono which suited you Imik, I know from our past encounters that you wear a Kimono rather well."
Standing up Imik now bowed, "Could I request your assistance in such an endeavour?"
Lia took Imik's hand, "Computer, two to beam to Commander Taylor's personal quarters." The two women beamed out to Lia's cabin.
=====Lia's Quarters=====
The women appeared in Lia's quarters, "Right Imik, please go into the bedroom and remove your uniform. I will then measure you and create a Kimono just for you, if you wish I can even keep your uniform colours of dark blue and light green."
Imik simply nodded, "I do not know how to thank you Lia, but how would you combine those colours?"
"Easy, the Kimono would be blue, and the Obi light green. It's the footwear that you may have trouble with." She showed Imik the Tabi socks and Geta, "Do you think you can manage them?"
Imik again nodded, "I can see no difficulty with those items."
Lia now took Imik's measurements and using the replicator created Imik's Kimono and underwear, "Right, lets get you dressed and get back to the party."
Some thirty minuets later both women reappeared back at the ranch, "There you go Imik, much more you."
Imik bowed and replied, "I thank you Lia, I will collect my uniform at a later date."
The women now made their way to the main house to be seated in the correct location.

Lt. Victor Barclay de Tolly with her fiancé Lt. Tonya King walked in with Victor’s two children Lara and Vick. Tonya touched her forehead a bit as she felt anxiety as flashbacks of the four times in her life where she was engaged only to have her fiancés killed off.
“Victor,” she whispers. “Let’s elope. Weddings now cause anxieties. My parents are here somewhere and your mother will be here soon.”
Victor nodded. He understood the situation so he thought with his heart. “As you wish.”
Victor’s daughter Lara smiled.

USS ELYSIUM - TRANSPORTER ROOM FIVE
First Lieutenant Woolheater waited in the transporter room for Miss Kirkby. He was dressed in the uniform of the day, his class "a" dress blues. Shiny black shoes shone spotless. His dark blue pants with the officer's "blood stripe", a nod to the USS Bonhomme Richard accented down each outside leg pleat, crisp and clean were perfectly fit. Around his waist, on his left hip was affiixed his ceremonial Marmeluke sword. Brilliantly the scabbard caught the light and the hilt shone so brightly. His dress blue jacket open with a white pleated dress shirt underneath. On his jacket were his ribbons and medals. Samuel never spoke much about his service awards and, truth be told, even though, privately, he took pride in them, he was humble in public and only spoke of them if someone asked; which people rarely did. The public, often, only knew that the more "fruit salad" on a marine's chest meant they did more "stuff" and by extension that must make them "good". And Sam was fine with that. That was certainly enough attention. But, to other marines here is what his "fruit salad" meant. They were arranged on the left side of Samuel's chest in the Starfleet order of precedence: Marine Corps service ribbon, SFMC Commendation Medal with two devices, Starfleet Service Medal with two devices, Meritorious Service Medal with three devices, SFMC Humanitarian Service Ribbon, Small Arms Marksmans Ribbon, TR-116 Type III Specialist, Marine Sharpshooter Ribbon with Expert Device, Combat Readiness Medal with 2 devices, Pilot Training Ribbon, Tarpean Expeditionary Rescue Ribbon and his Hypatian Expeditionary Ribbon. The buttons had the SFMC logo and were strictly an adornment and served no practical use on the jacket. Sam had gotten himself a haircut and his neatly cropped, neatly tripped, spikey blond hair lookedd like it too was at 'attention'. He had groomed well earlier this morning, but he was already showing early beard stubble. His hands were white-gloved and behind his back as he waited. The dress blues uniform could take a person, who on their best days was a "5" and make them a perfect "10". It was remarkable. There was, of course, a cost to all this transformation. The uniform was hot, stiff and itchy. Hopefully, Colorado at this time of year was not too hot outside.
Adelaide walked through the doors to the transporter room and immediately was the center of attention. She was dressed in an emerald green, full length, satin gown. It shimmered in the light due to something being sewn into the fabric. She wore elegant high heels that would do well in both an indoor and outdoor setting. On the front of her gown was a single, large bow at the midriff section. The plunging neckline was adorned only by a simple pleating. The sleeves of her gown covered her whole arm. Her hair was gathered up and tied in the back of her head, off her shoulders that accented her shoulders and neck. She walked with poise and elegance; a naturally elegant lady. She was smiling and just lit the room up. Sam looked at her, up and down, taking a long drink and said, "Wow".
Adelaide smiled back, "Thank you Lieutenant Woolheater; I'll take that as a compliment?" she said as she glowed radiantly at him.
"Yes ma'am, wow you look good. I mean, great! I don't know what to say." Sam said to her. She looked him over and said, "You look very handsome too. Well, I think this will do? We don't want to outshine the bride and so I felt simple was best."
Sam nodded, "I'm glad you could make it. The wedding gifts have already been transported down. Due to security, all that had to be transported yesterday. I took the liberty of getting something from both of us?" he said as they stepped onto the transporter pad with a ready group of guests. Adelaide, reached for Sam's outstretched hand to asist her ascending the steps to the transporter pad said, "Very thoughtful of you. Thank you." When everyone was arranged, the guests were beamed down to the wedding.
=====Groom's Room======
Mattias was almost dressed. He was currently standing in front of the full-length mirror, wearing most of his Starfleet Marine Formal Dress Blues. The only pieces not currently being worn, was his parade cover, jacket - complete with his numerous awards and decorations, his ceremonial Saber and his white dress gloves. Currently, he was trying to tie his bow tie. "I never have mastered these damn things," he grumbled as he pulled the messy knot apart for the third time.
Mal grinned, "Stop, you're just going to get it all wrinkled with your fat fingers." He teased in an effort to get Matt to relax. "Stand still and let me to it." He answered as he was dressed in his Starfleet Dress Uniform. "Unless you want one like kids wear, you know already tied." He quipped.
Mattias gave his brother-in-law a dangerous look. "You know, you're lucky that you're already family. Otherwise, I whoop your ass like I did when we were kids." His eyes twinkled with mischief, but, playfulness as well.
"You should be glad you're in that uniform, otherwise you'd look pretty silly getting married in a wheelchair." Mal replied with a grin.
"Any time you wanna dance, cupcake," Mattias replied with a playful smirk on his face as he stood still so Malakai could finish with his bow tie.
"Bold talk for a man in a monkey suit." Mal quipped as he worked on finished the tie. "Ta Da! Your tie is finished, and I must say it's the best looking part of the uniform." He grinned.
"Tim," Mattias addressed his best man, as he rolled his eyes at Malakai. "Will you blow this guy up or something? You are my best man after all. You're supposed to protect me from the riffraff." He grinned slightly as he spoke.
Captain Timothy "Ice" Carlton smiled and shook his head. "I can take him out Matt, then I'm going to have a mad and pregnant Kara gunning for me. No thank you. However..." He added with a grin, "After the ceremony I will be glad to blow him up." Like Matt, Tim was dressed in Marine Corp dress uniform and like Matt his uniform was adorned with medals and ribbons signifying a long and storied career.
"Sheesh," Mattias smirked playfully. "And here I thought you were a big, tough Recon Marine. Here you are, afraid of a little girl." He couldn't keep the shit-eating grin off his face and laughed. He, of all people knew of Kara's temper.
Tim simply laughed, "Kara has you eating out of her hand, so tell me again just how tough you are."
"Hey, I'm just the smarter of you two is all," he chuckled as he put on his cufflinks. "She had me wrapped around her finger the day we rescued her as a baby." He wasn't ashamed to admit how he felt for his sister. It was a pure love they shared.
Looking over at the antique mantle clock, he took in a breath to relax his nerves. "Okay, time to get the rest of dressed and out there. Mal, hand me my jacket, please. Tim, my belt and saber, please."
Mal went and got Matt's dress jacket, checked it for wrinkles (there were none) and handed it to Matt. "Here you go Matt. No wrinkles, no lint."
"Thanks, Mal," Mattias grinned softly as he slid his arms into the jacket, rolling his shoulders forward as Malakai helped him finish getting it on. Mattias then buttoned the front, and made sure everything was in its place.
As Mal was getting Matt's jacket, Tim went and got the saber and belt. He waited for Matt to finish putting his jacket on before he handed him the saber and belt. "Left side Matt. Same side your wedding band will go." Tim teased. "You know, it's not late for me to write a big red L on the scabbard.'' A broad smile on his face.
Mattias took the belt and pulled it around his waist, ensuring his gig line was perfectly straight. Next, he took his saber and clicked the scabbard to the rings on his left hib, attaching the weapon to his belt. "An L?" He smirked as he checked his reflection. "I'm almost afraid to ask. Do tell, and remember, I'm going to be your best man one day."
Tim shook his head and smiled, "No forget it. I know you Mattias. I don't want you playing some prank on me especially as you will be my best man. Then me having to explain your disappearance." Tim finished with a grin.
Mattias grinned slightly. "Coward," he teased with a playful chuckle.
Finally dressed, he looked at both of his closest male friends. "Thank you both for everything you have done." He looked at his reflection one more time and said, "Well, time to get to the chapel.
The trio then exited to suite and made their way to the small outdoor chapel that would hold the ceremony itself.
=====Bride’s Room====
Kara stood looking at herself in her matron of honour’s dress, her five month pregnancy was starting to show well now, and she was thrilled to be given the honour of this role with Phoenix on such a special day. The best was yet to come as her daughter Ezri was due to arrive at anytime.
With herself ready she headed to see how the bride was getting on.
Inside the Brides rooms, Miran, dressed in the matching dress to Kara studied her older sister who was staring at the dress that hung on its hanger.
Phoenix wore a robe over her under garments as she ran a hand down the dress. "Well here goes" she said softly and began to get into the floor length dress that was a mix of Human and Erisian in style. The bodice was snug and the skirt flowed in pale blue waves from the bodice.
Miran looked up as Kara entered. "Hey just in time" she said brightly to Kara. "Where is the flower girl?"
Kara smiled as she sidestepped to reveal her two year old daughter, who had barely had time to step off her transport, before being whisked to the wedding. Her looks resembled those of a young Kara all apart from the soft Klingon ridges she had. Luckily Kara had just about had time to dress Ezri. “Right here!”
Miran grinned and knelt to greet Ezri. "Hi Ezri, I am Miran. Pleased to meet you."
Ezri looked shyly at Miran, keeping a tight hold on her mother’s hand.
Phoenix turned to smile, her dress was on but undone at the back. "Oh Kara you look great!" She said honestly.
“Thank you Phee!” Kara smiled. “You look absolutely stunning! Your dress is gorgeous!”
“Thanks, can you help?” she waved a hand to the buttons on the back of the dress.
“Of course!” Kara smiled as she moved round to do the buttons. “This is what a Matron of honour is for.”
“Mother would be here but she has other things to do.” Phee rolled her eyes. She glanced at Ezri. “So little miss, you look wonderful, but I have something special for you to wear in your hair is that ok?”
Kara smiled and nodded to her daughter. “She loves pretty things.”
Once the dress was done up, Phoenix moved to the duchess and picked up a silver wrapped box. She handed it to Ezri. "Here you go."
Inside the box was a floral headband, the flowers were metal and jeweled. "Your mother will be able to fix it in your hair."
Kara looked as Ezri opened the box, the smile on her little face was a picture to behold.
“Oh wow! Look at that!” Kara grinned as she gently helped Ezri on with the headband. “You look so pretty!!”

Just outside Sthilg was giving himself a final once over in a mirror. For once his uniform felt nice and fitting. " Everything okay my dear. " he said turning to his fiancée
Deanna was standing simply looking at her handsome fiancé as he looked himself over. “Everything is just wonderful” she walked over to him straightening out a kink in the back of his uniform. “You look so handsome!” She kissed him on the cheek before wiping away her lipstick. “It’s a great honour walking the bride down the aisle.”
"Thank you imzadi" Sthilg said as he gently moved some of Deanna hair to the back of her head. " Do you think I'll do a good job. I don't want to messsss thissss up."
“How could you mess anything up?” Deanna smiled as she proudly gave her fiancé one more once over. “You’ll do fine Imzadi, and I’ll be right there in my seat waiting for you to join me.”
" Oh you know mw my dear. Thisss isss a very ssspecial day for Phoneix and I don't want to messsss it up for her." He replied honestly.
The door opened and Miran stepped out and beamed a bright smile at the Doctor. "You look great Doc!" The teenager said brightly. "She will be out in a minute"
" Thanksss Mirian how are you holding up?" Sthilg asked feeling rather relived.
Miran smiled. “Am going well. I am glad she and Mattias are getting Married”
=====Guest Area=====
Heather had arrived on the surface with Fernando and Cody, with plenty of time to spare. For the last couple of hours they’d been enjoying a nice romantic walk around the beautiful grounds. Heather hated to admit it, but she missed being on solid ground breathing unfiltered, fresh air. “There’s times I wish we were planet based Imzadi, I miss all this when we’re out amongst the stars.”
Fernando nodded at heather's words. "You know my love we could buy an isolated getaway, be it here on Earth or anywhere we want. Perhaps we should explore what options are available to us."
Heather nodded enthusiastically. “I’d love that! Somewhere we could call home when we’re not out amongst the stars.”
Fernando nodded in agreement. "I thought you might my angel. We shall look together and see what we can find that will be just right for all of us."
Heather nodded giving Fernando a kiss on the cheek. “You are so wonderful, you know that?”
Fernando blushed at Heather's compliment. "No more so than you my sweet pea. Between the two of us we will find the perfect little hideaway,"
“I know we will, one where we can raise our son in safety and happiness.” Heather smiled warmly as she cuddled Cody.
How right you are my turtle dove, It will be our private retreat for us and Cody, where we all can be safe, secure and happy." Fernando answered with a smile.
Heather nodded, the biggest smile of all on her face.
With things still being organized, Rin, in a new green dress, and Ebi, in a blue and white long tunic and robe, took some time to walk around the edge of the guest area. Both had an expression of almost childlike wonder as they took in the view.
--And the entire planet is like this?-- Ebi asked through their neural interface.
--Like this? No. It has a lot of natural wonders, but this... this is possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever seen,-- Rin replied.
--Thank you for inviting me.--
--Thank you for letting me share it with you. I'm guessing we'll have time tomorrow to explore further.--
Naxea entered the guest area, dressed in her Starfleet Marine Dress Blues. To say the uniform was uncomfortable was an understatement, especially to a woman who was pregnant. She had had to get a bigger uniform coat to compensate for her growing belly. At her side was the officer's saber carried by all Marine officers in formal functions. Mattias had asked if she would be a part of the ceremonial Marine guard. However, she had a backup plan--as soon as the ceremony was over, she was changing to a more comfortable dress. She took a deep breath as the uniform belt pressed against her enlarged stomach. "Mattias owes me," she murmured to herself.
Orin had stepped onto the transporter pad back on the Elysium and transported down to Colorado. He wasn't the most comfortable at weddings, but it was still fun to get away from the world of politics every now and again.
As the transporter finished its cycle, Orin could see several other people from the ship had already transported down. Looking around, Orin could see the various colors of his fellow crewmates and realized that some were out of their dress uniforms. He had come down in his dress uniform, which was uncomfortable and scratchy, especially in the heat of the Colorado weather.
Walking around, Orin walked over to one of the gazebos and took a look around. He smiled as he looked around.
David and Baeryn beamed down next. Like the other Marines present, he was wearing his Dress Blues, complete with his officer's saber. Unlike the others, however, he also had his former US Army awards and decorations displayed on his chest, having been given a special dispensation from Headquarters to be allowed to wear the awards he had legally earned in the past.
"This looks like it's going to be a hell of a party, Baer." He held out his right elbow to her. Normally, he'd give her his left side, but, with his saber hanging on his left hip, he didn't want it to bang into her side.
Baeryn chuckled as she hooked her elbow with David's. She wore a long dark emerald green dress haltered around her neck, leaving her freckled arms and back bare. The dress was intentionally loose around her growing belly, hiding it from untrained eyes. She took a moment to enjoy the warmth from the sun before responding, "It's almost as if we beamed into a dream." Baeryn took in their surroundings with awe. Looking to her loved one she asked, "Shall we?" as she gestured forward.
For a few beats, David seemed to be transfixed by just how beautiful Baeryn was. Of course, he already knew how perfect for him she was, it was just...seeing her in this setting, seemed to skyrocket her attractiveness into orbit.
Finally blinking and pulling himself back to the present, he escorted the love of his life to their assigned seats. As he was a member of the saber guard detail, he found that he and Baeryn had a pair of seats on the right side of the center aisle, four rows back. It seemed that the entire squad was seated similarly, with Man'darr in the seat in front of David, and Hendrix in the seat in front of that.
On the other side of the aisle, Young was across from Hendrix, Woolheater was behind him and the Colonel was across from David. This way, once the ceremony was over, the detail could stand and perform the duties they were asked.
Looking around the setting some more, David leaned over to Baeryn. "Have I told you just how stunning you are, sweetheart?"
The hyrbid blushed and nudged her elbow into David's ribs. Leaning in she whispered, "I have no idea what your talking about. I think your sight is failing you." Baeryn half smirked as she scanned the others in attendance.
He chuckled softly, then leaned on to whisper in her ear. "You must be right, Baer, you are so beautiful, I have become blind to all others." He gently kissed her cheek when he finished speaking.
Baeryn rolled her eyes, "Somehow I knew a wedding would bring out your romantic side." Baeryn joked but there was a gleam of amusement in her eyes.
David shrugged slightly, a happy grin still on his face. "What can I say? I'm an old softy at heart. He reached over and gently squeezed Baeryn's hand as he thought about proposing to her again. "I love you, Baeryn."
The next couple to arrive were Captain Kyle Reece and Legate Vanessa Alcean an Vantar. Kyle was in his dress whites, with his impressive collection of awards proudly on display. Once the transport cycle finished, he offered his left elbow to Vanessa. "It's good to be back on Earth," he said with a happy grin. Looking over at Vanessa, he added, "Perhaps, after the wedding, I could take you out to Long Island, show you the home I grew up in? Perhaps meet my parents?"
"Why that would be splendid, my dear Kyle." Vanessa noted. "I look forward to learning all of the most embarrassing moments if your life." She smirked.
"Hmmm," he considered the outcomes laying ahead of him. Then he grinned. "What the hell, I've got nothing to hide." He smiled then leaned in to gently kiss her cheek.
A few moments later, another guest arrived alone. When Debra finished materializing, she looked around at the beauty of everything. She was wearing a nice little black cocktail dress, which hugged her in all the right places, without being obscene, matching two inch, black leather heels. He hair was done up in a nice single braid that hung down the middle of her back and, she had chosen makeup that complimented her face.
As she looked around, she quickly found a seat in the back of the outdoor chapel. She sat down and waited for the ceremony to begin, hopeful that she wouldn't make a fool of herself today.
Jessica beamed down in full dress uniform. Which was truly impressive. The Wind Commander had a distinguished service history which included a Christopher Pike Medal of Valor and the Coveted Starfleet Medal of Honor. She even had her service ribbons, and she went to find Man'darr.
Jason and Lana had beamed down and were marveling at the natural beauty of the area as well as the decorations set up on the grounds for the wedding. "Wow, this sure is beautiful." Jason said, his fingers intertwined with Lana's. "Don't you think so Lana?"
Giddy Lana responded, "I can't wait to see the dance floor!" She winked at Jason as she laced her fingers with his.
Jason nodded in agreement at Lana's statement. "You are so right Lana." He looked at her siding by his side, her fingers intertwined with his. "By, the way you look fantastic! I mean you always look good but wow." He smiled at her.
Alana placed a quick kiss on Jasons cheek, "As do you handsome." Taking his hand she started to follow the group headed towards what she could only assume was the seating for the ceremony. "I hope we are close enough to the aisle to watch her walk by us!"
"Maybe we be," Jason agreed a smile on his face. "I bet the Captain's dress is going to be a work of art." He added as they walked along marveling at the beauty of both the grounds and the wedding decorations.
"This whole venue is stunning. I wonder who decorated the ranch and how long it took. It's going to be breathtaking when the sun goes down I just know it!" Lana sighed happily squeezing Jason's hand as they continued down the path.
"I agree Lana, it is breath taking. I would imagine an awful lot of time went into the preparation with these decorations." Jason answered, as he squeezed Lana's hand in return as they continued their walk down the path.
The shimmer of a transporter filled a void within the large gathering of guests, its blue ionized particles fluttering away in the gentle breeze to reveal a trio of Sequus figures.
"I utterly detest that sensation." Anne snorted as she patted at her body, not entirely sure it was still there.
"You get used to..." S'hib remarked as he scanned around, his somewhat bored-looking expression lighting up immediately as his eyes found Naxea.
"I highly doubt that," She retorted as they all examined one another, making last-second adjustments to their manes. "makes my entire coat tingle."
The three of them stood there for a brief moment, examining the intricate details they had all shaven and painted onto one another, their bodies adorned in silk wraps and sheets that hid anything that might offend while showing off as much as possible.
In truth, it was a sight to behold. The two tribal warriors and their priestess, attempting to look civilised while retaining as much of their original culture.
"Right, that's enough of that." The high priestess snorted as she ran her hands down her neck and over her front, smoothing out the lavish display of black silver and crystal that was wrapped around her long neck, its tightly woven rings looking similar to chainmail as it draped over her shoulders, ending in long strands that fluttered down her arms.
"Time to be civilised..." She added before marching off, leaving S'hib and T'han stood there for a moment before noticing the priestess was clicking right towards Naxea.
Naxea heard the unmistakable sound of hooves clicking on the floor and turned. However, she spotted not only S'hib and T'han but the Priestess as well, which surprised her as Naxea had thought only S'hib would attend the wedding. "Greetings, Priestess," she said as the elder Sequus approached.
"My dear, hello... It's lovely to see you again." The priestess beamed, her voice oddly vacant of any diplomatic decore as she placed her hands firmly on Naxea's shoulders.
"I was so delighted to hear you and S'hib finally managed to conceive a child, not that I had any doubts of course..." She added quickly as S'hib and T'han flanked her sides with S'hib turning more to stand with Naxea than the Priestess.
"Yes...and I am still wondering what exactly you did when you last came to see me," Naxea questioned.
“Ah, yes well…” The priestess stuttered, her usual calm and collected complexion wavering slightly. “Let’s just call it a gift,” She added with a slight pause. “One I will be delighted to… talk more about in private.”
“Am I… uhh, am I missing something?” S’hib mumbled, looking between them both, gaining a look from the Priestess that made him even more confused.
"I'll talk to you about it later," Naxea said to S'hib as she took his arm. "Come on, let's head in and take our seats."
S'hib simply made a confused squeak as he was dragged off, turning to face the priestess with a quick wave of his free hand.
Man'darr stood outside in his dress uniform. He took in a deep breath as he gazed at the view. Personally, he was more of a tropics guy than mountains, but he had to admit the scene was beautiful. Turning, he entered the guest area to see several familiar faces in the crowd but smiled as he spotted Jessica approaching him. "Hey Imzadi," he greeted, smiling
Jessica smiled and began to inspect her man's uniform. He had to pass muster with her if he was going to any wedding.
"Jess, I'm fine," he sighed with a chuckle before giving her a quick, yet tender kiss on the lips.
Etrara had beamed in and walked down the drive. She wore a blue Vulcan silk pantsuit which accentuated her curves covered by a rainbow blue long jacket. She had decided to forgo a hat as she had read humans liked to wear on these occasions but on trying one one laughed uncontrollably, no, a hat was not for her. She looked for somebody she knew, somebody she could find out what she had to do or where she had to go and she could possibly sit with. For a minute she thought of leaving but then decided as she had been invited she would stay. She wandered amongst the other guests nodding and smiling hoping somebody would talk to her.
George saw Etrara and smiled as he raised his free hand to wave her over.
Both Leilani and Emily turned to look, smiling as they saw Etrara approaching.
Etrara made her way over to George thankful that she had been noticed. She sat down next to him. “Thank you” she said “such a riot of color. I do not recognize half of these people.” She turned towards him. “You look very nice.”
"What, this old thing?" He joked easily. "Thank you. As do you. Doesn't she, Hendor?"
The little boy smiled and nodded. "Yes, Papa, she looks pretty, but not as pretty as Skylah," he spoke with the innocence one only found in the young.
Leilani offered an apologetic smile before crouching down to explain to Hendor that he should have been more polite. Though she couldn’t blame him for his innocent slip.
Etrara smiled knowingly, “well Hendor” she whispered behind her hand, “I have not told your Papa that you are easily more handsome than him.”
Hendor giggled and blushed a little. "Mama tells me that I am handsome. Even Skylah said she likes how I look, even with my face like this," he replied as he indicated the artificial left side of his face.
Etrara leant down, “May I?” She asked as she put her hand out towards the youngster's face.
At first, Hendor was a little shy about it. However, after getting a comforting squeeze from his Papa's hand, he took a small step forward and nodded slightly.
Etrara stood and bent at the knees so she was down to his level. She gently caressed each side of his face lovingly and slowly finally taking his face in her hands. “Hendor, each side of you is just as handsome as the other, but you know” she put her hand gently on his heart, “it is what is inside here that really shows how handsome you are. Always be kind young man.” She stood and sat down again and wiped a tear from her eye, she had not expected to connect with the child as much as she did.
After Etrara spoke to him, Hendor looked up at his parents, a warm smile crossing his small face.
"She speaks the truth, my son," George spoke first. You are indeed very handsome. Also, your mother and I are very proud of how good and polite a young man you are."
“We are indeed” Leilani smiled at Hendor. “Very proud of you indeed.”
George then guided his family to their seats, putting Hendor between himself and Leilani.
Etrara stood and excused herself, she felt out of place and rootless. “I am sorry, I should not have come. Have a wonderful time.”
George shook his head. "Etrara, please stay. You're not only a part of this crew, but you're our friend." He looked at Leilani, then back at Etrara, "We want you to stay with us."
“Please Etrara” Leilani smiled. “You’re more than welcome to spend time with us. You don’t have to leave.”
Etrara was grateful. “Thank you, I would like that very much. She sat down and watched.
Samaire checked the dress she had gotten Skylah to wear carefully. Satisfied that her niece had not dirtied it on the way to the transporter, she nodded and looked at Liam. "Ready?" she asked her husband. She herself was dressed in a dark green dress that swept her ankles and had her hair pulled up into an elegant twist. Skylah was wearing a dress of almost the same colour but it was short enough for the girl to move around in easily.
Liam smiled and nodded. Like his fellow Marines, he was wearing his dress blues. However, as he was an noncommissioned officer, instead of a saber on his left hip, he wore a cutlass, as was tradition, dating back to the days of sails and wooden ships. "You two look absolutely beautiful," he stated happily as he reached out and gave both of their hands a gentle squeeze. "I am a very lucky man."
"Okay Lucky man, lets get going or we will be late!" Samaire laughed and they headed to the beam out point.
Gary beamed down in his dress uniform. It was bedecked with ribbons. The medals he received for his services as a member of the Wolf Pack, were not on view as they were Black Ops missions sanctioned by the Federation. He looked for Lia but didn't immediately see her, so a walk to find her was called for. He knew she was wearing a Kimono, so he looked for that.
GUEST REGISTRY GAZEBO
Arriving at the guest sign in just in view of the Gazebo, Adelaide said, "Isn't this view the most beautiful thing?" Sam and Adelle both appreciated the view. "We don't have mountains like this on Pacifica. Closest thing that I've ever seen to mountains like this is back at Camp Falkirk" Adelle smiled at him and at all the guests. "Costa Rica is here on Earth. That's my home area. I promised my brother that I'd stop by before we left. If you like surf 'n turf and mountains then you should see where I live. We have the best of all of that. Beaches and Mountains." Sam smiled, "OK, you're on!" Adelaide sign the guest book and then Samuel did. One of the wedding assistants said to Sam, "Lieutenant Woolheater, you are part of the marine ceremony. Here is your table assignment, right here, " she showed on a map of the area where the table was and where the marine ceremony assembly area was, "and there's also a cabin assignment for you too. You didn't sign up for one earlier?" Sam said, "No ma'am. I didn't presume that there would be one." She smiled back, "It would seem that the Captain's reserved one for you anyway. Here is the key and it is a river view. They are lovely and they come equipped with a replicator so you can change out of uniform later." Sam grinned, "Thank you kindly ma'am."
Sam shared with Adelle what had just happened and she said, "Are you staying?" He replied, "Probably not. I'd feel weird staying in a big ass, grizzly adams cabin by myself." Then he said, "But, hey? Why don't you take it? You've probably got..you know...friends?" Adelle smiled, "Well, only if you're not going to use it." Sam said, "Consider it yours. As a thank you for being here with me." Then he grinned and said in a mock salesman style voice, "We know that you have many choices when it comes to accompanying a marine to a party. We thank you for choosing Sam Woolheater." And Adelle laughed as they walked into the wedding party and started mingling and talking with other wedding guests.
Miraj never liked being planet side. Not having the customary hum of a ship running up from her feet left her feeling ungrounded, however hard she dug her bare toes into the soft grass, like she was missing a limb, or an eye. But she could live with it, for a party. She'd picked out a brass coloured play suit in a silky fabric, trimmed with piping and filigree buttons, both in a pale turquoise, and hoped it was fancy enough. Then flown down in Queen Anne's Revenge, spent entirely too long looking for somewhere to park before trekking over to the ceremony space. She found a seat at the back, looking to see if she could spot anyone else she knew.
"Hey boss" Nerinath, dressed in a dark navy blue dress and low heals slid into a seat beside Miraj. "You look great!"
"Hey!" Miraj beamed at her, taking in the elegant outfit "So do you." the younger woman looked around. "Just you today?"
Neri nodded. “Yeah I don’t mind going solo to weddings. Its fun.”
Miraj hadn't been to enough weddings to have an opinion. "I've not been to enough to know."
Neri grinned. "It will be fun you will see."
Triston, wearing a black suit (At Miran and Raye's suggestion) walked into the area with Raye and Tristi behind him. Both girls were dressed up for the occasion and Raye was wearing a dark green mini dress and low heels while Tristi, was wearing a pale yellow dress and sandals, Phoenix had helped pick out for her. They moved into the crowd and found seats.
Triston was under 'orders' from Mattias to make sure Tristi was not left alone, and Raye was under orders from Miran to make sure Tristi behaved herself with Triston.
Having free time, T'Kek felt himself obligated after much debate to attend the Captain's wedding ceremony as he materialized on the surface alone. Not wanting to push any buttons with all the 'big wigs' in attendance, he chose to dress in his Starfleet Dress Uniform. Taking in the view, T'Kek was impressed as he never had gotten the time to visit many parts of Earth during his time at the Academy. One thing he immediately noticed was the number of couples in attendance. He could already hear his mother lecturing him about finding a nice woman to settle down with and his father constantly trying to set him up with an arranged marriage, which was all but impossible with what he had overheard other vulcans refer to him as an "emotional half-breed." No full-blooded vulcan family would allow their daughter to be tainted by such an arrangement.
Gavin had arrived after his parents. He was dressed in a dark blue suit, with a white shirt and dark blue tie, with black shoes. As he arrived, he late out a low whistle seeing the grand splendor of the wedding venue. Unfortunately, he didn't see his parents or any of the other teenagers from when had been aboard the Elysium with his parents. So, he looked and stood feeling out of place.
Raye spotted Gavin “Gavin! Over here!” she called out to him.
Hearing Raye's voice, Gavin looked and spotted her. He threw a hand up in acknowledgement. "Raye!" He answered and moved toward her.
Ray grabbed him as he got closer "here sit with us!" She said motioning to the other two in the same row.
Triston gave Gavin a nod with a smile.
Trista who didn't know him, studied him cautiously.
Gavin returned Triston's nod and smile. He saw Trista looking at him, "Hi, I'm Gavin." He said bat way of introduction.
"Tristi" The newcomer replied.
Raye gave Tristi a look. "She is the foundling."
And Then Raye cursed as she was clipped up the side of the head by her mother as she walked passed. "Takes one to know one Raye" Serenity quipped. She gave her daughter a look. "The Captain and I have spoken to you about this. Behave." the or Else was left unsaid as Serenity walked off to find a seat.
Scott and Sapphire arrived. Scott was in his dress uniform. "Wow! Will you look at this Sapphire! What a layout. They went all in for this. Something everyone can remember." He said giving her hand a light squeeze. "Does it give you any ideas for our wedding?" He asked with a smile.
Sapphire laughed and nodded. “Eloping” she joked, dressed in a dark red dress with matching heels.
Scott laughed at her answer, then stopped and looked at her, "Wait, are you serious Shapphie? Wouldn't your mother be extremely upset if you did that?" He questioned.
"Ah well that's the price" She teased. "But no, lets have our own day soon ok?"
"So it is." He agreed. "As for us having our own day soon. We will, I promise."
"I know" She replied.
The Reece's finally beamed down, and Liam whistled softly. "Wow, it's beautiful here!" He then turned and smiled at Samaire, then Skylah. "It's like stepping into paradise."
Off to their left, a small, excited voice could be heard calling out. "Sky!!" Hendor was waving excitedly. "There's seats here!"
“Looks like we are sitting there” Sam laughed as Skylah pulled them over to where Hendor and his family were.
Beaming down in an emerald green sundress that she had dressed up with emerald earrings and a silver necklace with heels, Tate took a moment to take in the fresh air and the happy people around her. It wasn't often they got to celebrate something as joyous as the wedding as a crew, and Tate was determined to enjoy every moment of the experience. Counselor or not, Tate was the sort of person that could only be as happy as her unhappiest crew member, and at least for now, everyone seemed to be in good spirits and relaxed. Sullivan was pleased. If any group of people deserved to relax and celebrate, it was the crew of the Elysium.
Looking down at the vintage chronometer on her wrist, Tate realized she better find a seat.
Harper beamed in solo looking for Emily. She wore a pale blue dress and matching shrug as she moved through the crowd.
Across the room not far from where she was Emily spotted Harper. Waving she called out to her hoping to catch her eye. “Harper!” Moving through the crowd Emily smiled as she greeted her. “You look lovely in your dress. Won’t you come join us?”
"I'd like that" Harper smiled.

Very nice everybody. I like how everyone added in what their characters were wearing and feeling. That only added to the anticipation. And it looks like this wedding has been a long time coming. I like the setting too. Everyone wearing their fancy-pant. Nicely done :)
